Simple pumpkin juice recipe

Pumpkin juice can be preserved without additives using a juicer or using other available means. The proposed recipe will allow you to get such a tasty and nutritious drink that you will literally “lick your fingers.”

Ingredients:

  • 3 kg pumpkin;
  • 0.5 kg sugar;
  • 2 liters of water;
  • 2 tsp. citric acid.

Preparation:

  • Cut the peeled pumpkin pulp into cubes, pour into a saucepan and fill with cold water.
  • Place on the fire and after boiling, cook for 15 minutes. Once the pumpkin pieces are completely soft, the vegetable is ready.
  • Using a blender, juicer or regular sieve, grind the pumpkin to a puree.
  • Return the vegetable mass to the pan; if it turns out to be very thick, then add the required amount of water. We also add sugar and citric acid.
  • Cook the juice over the fire until foam stops forming on its surface.
  • Pour the finished drink hot into sterilized jars and roll up the lids.

For juice, it is best to use butternut or butternut squash varieties. The appearance is somewhat reminiscent of a large pear.

Using a juicer

Having such a unit as an assistant, cooking from any raw material is not difficult. The help of machinery is especially valuable when processing pumpkins. To extract the liquid manually, it has to be boiled. A juicer allows you to obtain a “live” product, and choose the method of processing it, taking into account the conditions for further storage.

The general principle is simple - pass pieces of vegetables and citrus through the unit and preserve. Product ratio for a drink without pulp:

  • 2 kg pumpkin;
  • 1 kg of oranges;
  • 200 g sugar;
  • 1 tsp. citric acid.

Before peeling citrus fruits, they must be washed and doused with boiling water. After this, the fruits must be thoroughly wiped with a clean towel, trying to remove plaque, which may contain chemicals. Care is necessary, as the drink will require zest.

Preparation:

  1. Prepare a decoction from 0.5 liters of water and zest: boil for 5 minutes, cool and filter.
  2. Vegetable pieces and orange slices (without seeds) are passed through a juicer.
  3. The liquid is placed in a saucepan, placed on the stove and a fragrant decoction of the zest is added.
  4. Add sugar and citric acid to the product and adjust their quantity based on your taste.
  5. Boil for 10 minutes and immediately pour into sterile, warm jars.

The drink can be preserved without additives, only pure pumpkin and orange juice. This preparation will last in a cool place for several months. And with sweetening and citric acid, the shelf life increases significantly.

Recipe for pumpkin juice with lemon and sugar

This miraculous drink is very healthy and dietary. But most importantly, it can be prepared for the winter at home.

Ingredients:

  • take 1 kg of pumpkin;
  • 1 lemon;
  • 2 liters of water;
  • 250g sugar.

Preparation:

Grate the pumpkin pieces on a coarse grater and place them in a saucepan. Make sweet syrup from sugar and water and pour it into the pumpkin. Cook all this, stirring over low heat, for 15 minutes. After which the resulting mixture should be cooled well and rubbed into a fine sieve. Then add peeled lemon to the pureed mass, put on fire and cook in a saucepan for exactly 15 minutes from the moment of boiling. When the cooking time is over, you need to immediately pour it into sterilized jars, roll it up well and wrap it warmly.

You can also make pumpkin juice for the winter using a juicer, without pulp. There is no need for any special skill here. Cut the pumpkin into pieces, put it through a juicer and add sugar, to taste. But there is also a proportion in which about 5 tablespoons of sugar are added for every liter of juice. Next, put on low heat, bring to a boil and cook for 5 minutes. Pour into sterilized jars and seal. Preparing such a drink using a juicer is one of the simplest and most acceptable.

With orange and carrots

Juicy carrots are additionally used to prepare pumpkin-orange juice. The color and taste will delight adults and children.

Products:

  • pumpkin - 2 kg;
  • clean water - 4 l;
  • carrots - 1 kg;
  • oranges - 1.4 kg;
  • lemon - 1 piece (medium size, optional);
  • granulated sugar - 800 g.

We do this:

  1. Wash the vegetables, dry and peel. Cut into cubes. Place in an enamel container and add the specified amount of liquid. Set to medium heat.
  2. Rinse the oranges and pour boiling water over them. Cut off the zest and clear the pulp from the white film. Squeeze the juice from a peeled orange. Extract juice from lemon in the same way.
  3. After boiling the vegetables, add orange zest to them. Cook until the vegetables are completely cooked. Then remove from the stove and cool. Grind until pureed. Put it back on the stove.
  4. Add granulated sugar, freshly squeezed orange and lemon juice. Boil for 5 minutes, stirring regularly. Pour into sterile jars and seal tightly. Turn over and store in the cellar after cooling.

An easy way to make apple juice without citric acid

In this recipe we will replace lemon with apple juice. It also has a lot of acid and is a good preservative.

Let's take:

  • 1 kg pumpkin,
  • 1 kg apples,
  • 5 tbsp. Sahara.

As before, the vegetable must be cleaned of all excess.

For convenience, let's take a juicer and skip it.

Let's do the same with apples. But first, you need to cut off everything unnecessary from the fruit: the skin, spoiled areas and the middle.

Pour both types of juice into the pan and let it boil. Then boil for 5 minutes on medium heat on the stove.

We are waiting for the moment when the pulp, which comes in foam, is cooked and goes down.

Now let's introduce a little sweetness. Vary it to taste, maybe you like it sweeter or vice versa.

Stir the crystals and, without turning off the heat, pour the drink into jars. We close it for the winter.

Apple and pumpkin juice at home for the winter

Among the huge number of recipes for making juice for the winter, a recipe with the simultaneous use of apples and pumpkin has a special place. This is not just a tasty juice, it is a divinely tasty and healthy juice for both children and the elderly.

Ingredients for making juice:

  • any type of pumpkin – 4 kg;
  • medium lemon;
  • 2 kg of ripe juicy apples;
  • a glass of sugar;
  • 0.5 liters of water.

Cooking steps:

  1. Wash the fruits thoroughly and dry. Peel and remove seeds. Cut the pumpkin and apples into medium-sized pieces.
  2. Place the prepared ingredients in a deep bowl or saucepan. Add water, put on fire and boil.
  3. Cook for 10 minutes until the pumpkin and apples become soft. Drain the water and pass the boiled fruits through a juicer. Heat treatment is not necessary. Immediately pass fresh ingredients through a juicer. Boiled pieces of apples and pumpkin can simply be pureed with a blender until a homogeneous puree is obtained.
  4. Place the lemon in the microwave for 2-3 minutes and then squeeze the juice out of it.

  • oranges - 1 kg;
  • granulated sugar - 600 g;
  • citric acid to taste.

The algorithm of actions is as follows:

  1. Rinse the pumpkin and dry it. Peel the skin in a thin layer, remove coarse fibers and seeds. Cut into cubes, place in a suitable pan, pour in 2 liters of filtered water. Place on the stove and cook at medium temperature until soft.

  • 500 g pumpkin;
  • 5-6 dried apricots;
  • 1 tsp. citric acid;
  • water.

Preparation:

  • We will prepare the juice using a multicooker, so we cut the pumpkin pulp, already peeled and seeds, into cubes and place it in a basket for steaming dishes.
  • Pour water into the bowl and put well-washed dried apricots, place a basket with pumpkin on top.
  • Turn on the device to the “Steam” mode and set the timer for 15 minutes.
  • After the signal, put soft pieces of pumpkin, dried apricots into the blender and add citric acid. Grind.
  • We roll the resulting juice into sterilized jars.

There is no need to put pumpkin juice in jars, because such a vegetable can be easily stored all winter, even indoors.

Pumpkin and citrus fruits in a juicer

The drink in the juicer is prepared using steam. Pumpkin pieces are placed in the upper tray, and water is poured into the lower tray up to the mark. Oranges can also be sent to the unit or the juice can be extracted from them separately and mixed in at the end.   • 100 g sugar;
  • 1 liter of water;
  • half a lemon.

Preparation:

  • We cut the already peeled pumpkin into small cubes and also randomly chop the peeled carrots.
  • Pour the vegetables into a saucepan, add water and simmer until the ingredients are soft. Then we grind them using a blender.
  • Add more water to the resulting vegetable puree, add sugar and squeeze the juice from half a lemon.

Helpful Tips and Tricks

Pumpkin goes well with apples, carrots, apricots, pears and other fruits. But berries should be introduced into recipes with caution. Some of them (such as blackberries) can change the color of the drink, making it gray. Use proven combinations or fruits that are similar in shade.

Mint will add refreshing notes to the drink. Boil it together with the juice, placing it in a gauze bag, and take it out before pouring it into jars.

To obtain sea buckthorn juice, the berries must first be sorted, washed and dried. Pour into a deep saucepan and add water to cover the fruit. Boil the contents until the berries become soft.

Grind the boiled mass through a metal sieve. Mix both juices in one container. Pour in a glass of water and boil again.
