A welcome guest on a country plot is the Belle F1 tomato: description and photo of the variety

Description of the variety

The variety "Belle F1" is a high-yielding hybrid that is characterized by early ripening. The indeterminate bush grows up to 1.5 meters. The plant is characterized by moderate foliage. The leaves are medium sized, dark green in color. The fruits form and ripen in long clusters of 6-8 pieces.

REFERENCE: Tomato ripening lasts throughout the season.

Main characteristics of ripe tomatoes:

  • Dark red color;
  • Flat-round shape;
  • Slight ribbing at the stalk;
  • Medium sized fruits;
  • Weight ranges from 120 to 200 grams;
  • Juicy and fleshy pulp;
  • Thin skin with a slight gloss;
  • The fruits have a large number of seed chambers;
  • Sweet and sour taste.

Features of cultivation and storage

Belle f1 is designed for low-volume technologies.

Plantings are carried out not in the ground, but in peat substrates or mineral wool. Water by drip with simultaneous root feeding with minerals. It develops well and bears fruit in the soil.

How to grow:

  • water 2-3 times a week;
  • form into 1 stem;
  • stepchildren breed once every 8-12 days;

Ripe fruits are easily transported and stored for up to 2 weeks with complete preservation of properties.

Growing tomatoes

The main feature of the hybrid is planting using both seedlings and non-seedlings.

How to prepare seeds?

Preparing seed material is quite simple. Seeds do not need disinfection or any other treatment before planting. Before sale, tomato seeds undergo all disinfecting and stimulating procedures.

Sowing seed material

There are two types of sowing seeds - planting in a container for seedlings or directly on the beds.

Containers and soil are prepared for growing seedlings. The soil consists of a mixture of ordinary soil with peat or humus.

Seeds are planted in containers to a depth of about 1.5-2 cm.

Containers with future seedlings are placed in a warm room. To improve germination, it is recommended to cover them with film.

After the first shoots appear, the film must be removed. The seedlings should be placed in a well-lit place and watered with warm, settled water.

IMPORTANT: The sown seeds should be sprinkled with peat.

When the first true leaves grow on the seedlings, they need picking. Seedlings also need to be fed using special complex mineral fertilizers.

With the seedless growing method, the seeds are sown directly on the beds, which are pre-fertilized with humus. The planted seeds are sprayed with warm water and covered with film.

After the sprouts appear, the plantings are thinned to increase the yield of tomatoes.

IMPORTANT: Plants grown in this way have very high immunity.

Rules for planting seedlings

Young bushes are planted in open ground or a film greenhouse in the second half of May. The distance between seedlings is maintained at about 40-50 cm. The distance between the beds should be at least 60 cm.

Advantages and disadvantages

Among the main advantages of the variety:

  • early fruit ripening;
  • excellent taste;
  • good yield;
  • shade tolerance;
  • resistance to major diseases.

The disadvantages include the need to form a bush. Tall plants need reliable support. It will not be possible to collect seed from your own beds; seeds from tomatoes do not inherit the characteristics of the mother plant.

Diseases and pests

Hybrid "Belle F1" is very resistant to major tomato diseases. It is practically not damaged by such infections as:

  • Verticillium;
  • Tobacco mosaic;
  • Fusarium.

Very early ripening protects the hybrid from late blight.

In order to prevent and protect against fungal diseases, it is recommended

spray young bushes with phytosporin or an aqueous solution of potassium permanganate.

The following actions will protect plants from the appearance of crown and root rot:

  • Frequent loosening;
  • Moderate watering;
  • Regular weeding and weed removal;
  • Mulching beds.

Insects and slugs can spoil fresh herbs and tomato fruits. Spraying the bushes with herbal infusions of yarrow, chamomile, celandine and soap solution will help get rid of pests.

The shellfish are removed manually, and then the plants are sprayed with a solution of ammonia.

Origin and application

The tomato variety “Belle F1” was bred by Dutch breeders and zoned for all regions of Russia. It is recommended to grow tomatoes in open beds or under film. Harvested tomatoes are well stored and can be transported . Smooth, beautiful fruits are suitable for sale.

Tomatoes are of the salad type; they are delicious fresh and suitable for preparing appetizers, soups, hot dishes, pastes and purees. Ripe tomatoes make delicious juice; they are also good salted or pickled.

Reviews

  • Pavel from the Moscow region. Belle tomato was grown at the dacha. I couldn’t move out of town for the whole summer, so I visited there on short visits. Knowing that the tomato is tall, I first installed trellises, and only then planted young plants. The harvest was excellent, despite the fact that the summer was hot, and I only had time to water on weekends. I kept it in a drawer for over a week. During this time, 2 pieces spoiled.
  • Natalya from Krasnodar. Last season I purchased seeds from a farm store. The seller recommended the hybrid in question. I grew it according to the instructions on the package. I received excellent quality tomatoes, the taste and aroma of which was clearly felt in the salads. I stored part of the harvest for the winter.
  • Elena from Kursk. I really liked the tomato. First of all, the taste of the fruit and its quantity. 5-6 pieces of beautiful tomatoes were removed from each branch. They ripened gradually, so they enjoyed the harvest all summer. They looked after them the same way as the other tall “residents” of the garden bed. Next season I will also plant this tomato on the plot.

Tomato Belle is a hybrid that deserves attention. With proper care, the variety will delight you with its unpretentiousness and good harvest.

Tomato Bella Rosa

Mid-season, determinate, productive tomato hybrid for greenhouses and open ground.
Bush up to 1 meter high, powerful, well leafy. The leaf is medium sized, light green, of the usual type. The inflorescence is intermediate. The plant requires staking to a support and pinching. The best results were obtained when forming a bush with 2 and 3 stems.

Basic qualities of fruits

The fruits are round, dense, red in color at maturity, weighing 130-150 grams (up to 300 g), fleshy, good (for a hybrid) taste. Not prone to cracking. These tomatoes are universal in use - suitable for fresh salads, canning in pieces and whole, and processing into tomato products.

Advantages of the hybrid : excellent commercial quality of the fruit, long fruiting period, resistance to major tomato diseases.

The tomato is heat-resistant, has high resistance to spot mosaic virus, and is resistant to verticillium blight, fusarium blight, cladosporiosis, gray leaf spot and nematodes.

Productivity : 4.9 kg of fruits per 1 square meter of planting (with proper agricultural technology).

The tomato hybrid Bella Rosa was included in the State Register of the Russian Federation in 2008 for cultivation in open ground in private household plots.

Originator : SAKATA (Japan).

Features of cultivation, planting and care

Sowing seeds for seedlings is carried out 60-65 days before the intended planting in the ground. Seedlings dive at the stage of 2 true leaves. When planting seedlings in a permanent place, it is recommended to place up to 6 plants per 1 sq.m of land.

Further care for tomatoes consists of timely watering, weed removal, pinching, fertilizing with complex mineral fertilizer and preventive measures to protect the crop from diseases and pests.

If you grew Bella Rosa tomatoes, please write whether you liked them or not. What was the yield and taste of the fruits like under your climatic conditions? How do you rate the disease resistance of this hybrid? If possible, attach a photo of the entire bush or individual fruits you grew. Thank you!

Your reviews of the Bella Rosa tomato, as well as additions to the description, will help many gardeners evaluate this hybrid more objectively and decide whether it is worth planting or not.

  • I planted it for 3 years in a row, in a greenhouse, and was very pleased!!!!! Moreover, in Kuban this variety is just what we need - heat-resistant!!!! There is no hassle with it, it doesn’t get sick, water it, fertilize it and collect it!!!! They are very good both as salads and as a twist…..they don’t crack, they are very tasty.
  • The tomatoes are very tasty and didn’t cause any trouble. The seedlings grew well, then they were tied up on a trellis and all that was left was to water as needed and harvest. There were a lot of tomatoes, the fruits were large from start to finish, by the way, the stepsons didn’t pick them off. There is nothing more to add except: THANK YOU SO MUCH!!!
  • This summer we grew them for the first time. We read good reviews and decided to try it. Immediately the hybrid was upset at the seedling stage; it was prone to stretching. They planted it in the garden, the fruits turned out to be large, flat-round, very dense, even too dense. Well kept. The taste is different from ordinary hybrids - with sweetness. The bushes are low. The hybrid was not pleased with its yield. And throughout the growing period, many fruits had blossom end rot. We have never had this in our garden, although we always plant many different varieties and hybrids. We won't repeat it.
  • I planted it in a greenhouse and noticed that the tomato planted on the north side was growing wildly, there were many stepsons and a lot of fruits, and all of them were large, very large. And the ordinary low-growing tomato planted in the south and the fruits are mediocre, if my first experience with them had happened without this random comparison, I would have said an ordinary tomato, not AH... And now I say SUPER and others are not needed and very large, like red, and the flesh is bright pink
  • Determinate, round, medium size, pulp with small chambers, red, tasty with a distinct tomato taste, yield above average, although it was not planted, grew in spartan conditions. The family really liked it.
  • It grows well in a greenhouse, there are a lot of ovaries, you have to tie them up because the fruits are very large. I’ve been planting for 3 years now, I’m very happy!
  • Large (up to 10 cm in diameter), smooth, “apple” fruits. Surprisingly tasty for a hybrid (characteristic, tomato-like, sweetish taste). The skin color is red, the flesh has a slight crimson tint. The insides are fleshy, the volume of the seed chambers is small. The bush is strictly determinate, branches powerfully. I didn’t take stepsons (there was no time), however, the harvest in 2017 was not bad.

Features of agricultural technology

The hybrid easily tolerates low temperatures and heat, short droughts and prolonged rains. Despite these characteristics, the tomato needs proper care.

  • Plants are grown in beds in the garden, but in cool areas, at least for the first time, it is better to set up a greenhouse.
  • The stem is tall and needs staking, so simultaneously with planting, supports are installed in a permanent place. No more than 4 plants are planted per 1 m².
  • During the growing season, the tomato is planted and shaped. Failure to comply with these procedures leads to an increase in green mass and a decrease in yield. In addition, additional stems and leaves thicken the bush. As a result, the plant is attacked by a fungus.

Attention! If a tomato is grown in an open bed in a cool area, the main shoot is pinched at the end of July, otherwise the set fruits will not have time to ripen.
