Characteristics of the Golitsyn grapes
The Golitsyn variety can be called a well-known hybrid form, which belongs to the Burdak grape varieties. The developmental features, ripening time, and even the taste are similar to the Vatican variety, but the berries of this species are smaller. Due to the reduction in the size of the berry, the mass of the brush itself also changes; its mass is 900 grams. The skin color is different from the previous form, which has a burgundy tint.
The Golitsyn variety has an original taste of berries.
The Golitsyn grape variety has a yellow tint and looks beautiful in bright sunlight, filling with gold and delighting both the site owners and their guests, who simply cannot resist this beauty.

Features of hybrid varieties
A significant part of the plants bred by A. V. Burdak belongs to the category of very complex interspecific hybrids. These varieties of grapes are perfectly adapted for cultivation in personal plots and demonstrate good yield, high quality berries and ease of care.
Another important advantage of hybrid forms, the author of which is A.V. Burdak, is their high resistance to low temperatures in winter. Almost all bred hybrids are winter-hardy down to 23-24ºС below zero, due to which, when cultivated in the southern regions of Ukraine and Russia, vineyards do not need to be covered for the winter.
Variety "Gordey"
“Gordey” is not just an early form of Burdak grape. The growing season of the bush before the mass appearance of the crop ranges from 95 to 105 days. The first harvests, as winegrowers note, will not be very abundant; the already vigorous grape bush of this variety pleases with its abundant harvest. Another advantage of the variety is the large size of the berries and clusters. The berry has an elongated shape and can reach four centimeters in length. A large number of berries are formed on the brush, this increases the mass of the brush up to 1 kilogram.

The positive advantage of the Gordey grape variety is associated with its taste characteristics. This variety is really tasty, but adds a delicious smell and taste of nutmeg to the usual grape taste.
Tasting characteristics
Wines from Gamay are gastronomic, often have high acidity, low tannin content, light color and bright fruity aroma. On the palate you can feel notes of banana, cotton candy, white flowers and vanilla. Gamay wines are typically light and fruity, with a soft purple hue. Those who do not like wines from this variety compare its taste to “melted cherry jelly.”
To avoid high acidity, winemakers often use carbonic maceration (fermentation of whole grapes with carbon dioxide), which also helps enhance fruity and floral notes.
Fruity and light, Gamay is a versatile wine for meat, chicken or turkey. As with Pinot Noir, a piece of goat cheese or feta goes very well with Gama.
Burdak variety "Dixon"
The mass of berries is not distinguished by its large size, but due to the large number of berries collected in one cluster, its mass can reach one kilogram. The berries are finger-shaped and delightful with their attractiveness. The taste of this type of grape is also excellent. The parental forms of the Dixon grape remain unknown, but it continues to increase its following.
The color of the skin has an unexpected and quite rare pinkish tint, and the flesh is tender and juicy in taste.
Variety Dixon - large berries are very beautiful
This grape variety is also pleased with its excellent resistance to weather conditions, because it is not afraid of either cold or heat. Positive indicators of endurance and stability, description of the berries, make it possible to grow the species in central Russia and obtain stable harvests closer to the beginning of September.

The variety created by Burdak belongs to the table variety; the grapes are grown for consumption. Its distinctive features are:

It is important to note that you will be able to taste excellent grapes and be convinced of their taste within three months after the start of the growing season.
The Catalonia variety has a great aroma
The “Catalonia” variety by Burdak is boldly called an ultra-early species; its ripening cycle ranges from 90 to 110 days. This allows you to try fresh and tasty berries in early August.
In the first year after planting, the harvest will not please you; it will amount to one or two bunches. But there is no need to despair, because the famous scientist-breeder could not make such a mistake and leave this grape variety with a low yield. The Catalonia variety is distinguished by good growth, and if in the first year you collect only one or two bunches, then the next year the harvest will increase several times. The Catalonia grape variety also pleases with its frost-resistant characteristics, which allows it to be grown even in central Russia. Grapes can withstand temperatures up to 23 degrees below zero, but if such temperatures persist in your latitude for several days, you should insulate the grapes before the onset of warm weather. When growing a species, it is important to take into account the description and characteristics of the grape crop.
Flavors and Aromas
Chardonnay styles from the Old World (primarily Burgundy) range from soft to intense, from the minerality of Chablis to the rich, nutty tones of Côte de Beaune. New World wines can reveal notes of melon, apple, grapefruit, and in tropical variations - peach, mango, lime, pineapple. Aged Chardonnay has a smoky flavor, with cinnamon, clove, and nutty notes. It is smokiness, noted the famous wine critic Jancis Robinson, that is one of the “clues” that allows you to identify Chardonnay during a blind tasting.
As for aromas, they vary depending on where the variety is grown and the wine is made. For example, in Burgundy, Tasmania, and American Oregon, Chardonnay produces aromas of green apple, pear and citrus. In the hot regions of Australia, southern Italy, and the central valleys of California, there will be more peaches, passion fruit and pineapple.
Another factor that greatly influences the aromatics of Chardonnay is oak. In aged chardonnay you can feel butter, vanilla, and hazelnuts.
Characteristics of the Burdak variety “Cleopatra”
The name of this variety does not coincide with its characteristics at all; the description also differs from other varieties. It is important to note that in terms of taste characteristics and appearance, the “Cleopatra” variety is similar to the bearer of this name, which was transferred to the variety, but in terms of stability and endurance characteristics it is significantly superior to the woman whose name this variety bears. The grape variety “Cleopatra” by Burdak is completely unpretentious in care.
It tolerates both extreme heat and frost well, without fear and without needing special care.

However, this should not at all be a signal of absolute indifference and lack of activity. It is important to provide the grapes with high-quality and competent care, and thanks to this you can get a bountiful harvest. The taste qualities of the “Cleopatra” grape variety suit this proud name, because, in addition to the usual taste of grape berries, you can also feel amazingly light, weightless notes of wild berries. The skin is distinguished by its thinness and can be completely eaten; the flesh does not spread, but has a solid shape.
Peculiarities of selection by A.V.Burdak
The famous breeder conducted more than 300 crosses of intervarietal and hybrid forms. As a result, I got a huge number of different grape varieties. All of them are characterized by an extraordinary ability to adapt to any climatic conditions, demonstrate consistently high yields, and high commercial quality. Among other things, it is easy to care for Burdak grapes, since they are unpretentious to temperature, fertilizing and rootstock. It easily takes root in any soil or on a foreign bush.
Burdak creates all his hybrid forms through repeated interspecific crossing.
An important advantage of Burdak varieties is the absolute resistance of hybrid forms to low temperatures. They can easily tolerate frosts of -23-25 degrees. This characteristic allows in the south of the country to avoid the hassle of covering the vines for the winter, since the grapes do not need it at all.
Characteristics of the Burdak variety “Senator”
The Senator grape variety is the result of Burdak’s work, but differs from other varieties in a large number of features. One of the important ones is the impressive weight of the bunch, which is created not by the large size of the berries, but by their quantity. The weight of Senator grapes can be up to one and a half kilograms. The berries delight winegrowers with their completely unusual crimson color, which looks delightful both in bright sun and in cloudy weather.

The taste qualities of Burdak's "Senator" grapes are in no way inferior to their external beauty, because the taste and smell of real fresh grapes was mixed with the smell of nutmeg, the combination turned out to be completely unusual.
The grapes belong to mid-season varieties, since the process of ripening of berries and mass harvesting begin only after 115 days. This waiting period is worth it to then taste the delicious ripe grapes, which are rich in vitamins, healthy and tasty. During cultivation, it is important to take into account the description and characteristics given by the author of the species.
Grapes Senator Burdaka
This species was created by crossing two varieties - Talisman and Arcadia and is a novelty among the numerous hybrids bred by A. V. Burdak, therefore it is acquired mainly by gardeners and experimenters from different regions. There is no such data yet on how this variety behaves in certain climatic conditions.
The berries of this grape hybrid are raspberry-colored, medium-sized, juicy with an unobtrusive muscat tint. The clusters are large in size due to the large number of berries in them - the mass of the brush can reach one and a half kilograms.
The variety is mid-season, however, the wait is worth it - the excellent taste and quality of the berries will not leave anyone indifferent.
Grapes "Ferdinand"
The last description of the last of Burdak's most famous grape varieties is the variety "Ferdinand". He is a record holder for many criteria of growth and development. So, the grapes ripen very early, and after three months, you can taste this variety. The mass of berries is large and impressive, up to 15 grams, which is also reflected in the mass of the bunch, which is up to one and a half kilograms. The possibilities of nature are endless, but you also need to try what was created in close cooperation between man and nature.
