Advantages and disadvantages
Advantages of the pesticide:
- Thanks to its systemic action, it quickly destroys all types of weeds.
- The herbicide can be used to dry the roots of cereal crops after harvest to clean the soil.
- “Ground” does not accumulate in the ground and does not cause the development of resistance in weeds.
- The result is noticeable 5-7 days after spraying.
- Low level of toxicity.
Another advantage of the drug is that it does not accumulate in the soil and does not cause plants to develop resistance to the active substance. The only disadvantage that can be noted is that working with the drug is only possible using a special protective suit.
Application Note
Constant use of the product will significantly reduce the number of parasites on the site, and for a long time.
The packaging of the Ground herbicide varies, but corresponds to the following set:
- ampoules 5 ml;
- tubes 50 ml;
- tubes 100 ml;
- bottles of 250 ml.
Any packaging requires the presence of a risk or measuring cup. Large agricultural producers use the Ground herbicide in the largest possible containers.
What are their advantages?
- “Ground” VR effectively copes with the destruction of all types of weeds, including persistent perennials.
- The use of a herbicide can not only be destructive; the drug is also used as a desiccant, accelerating the ripening process of cotton, potatoes, castor beans, rice and other vegetable and grain crops.
- “Ground” does not accumulate in the soil and does not remain in soil layers, thereby not having a negative impact on the atmosphere and the environment as a whole. Taking into account the feedback from gardeners, the drug is completely safe.
- An undoubted advantage of the effectiveness of the herbicide is its availability.
What is it for and how does it work?
The active substance of the herbicide penetrates into the plant and spreads through all its parts with a current of juice. After getting inside plant cells, the process of blocking the production of the active enzyme starts, photosynthesis is disrupted, and the plant dies.
The drug is intended for:
- tillage of the soil from thistle in early spring;
- destruction of wheatgrass before planting the soil with cereals and root crops;
- treatment of green recreation areas - parks, playgrounds, alleys;
- tilling fields before sowing spring and winter crops;
- weed control under various embankments.
Due to the fact that the herbicide can be used on any green areas in the fight against all types of weeds, “Ground” is recognized as one of the best universal preparations.
Herbicide Ground for weeds: description of the drug
But science does not stand still, and breeders are developing new drugs to help fight weeds. One of these is the drug “Ground”. This drug destroys not only ordinary weeds, but also difficult-to-breed herbs with a large number of seeds.
This drug has various forms of release. These include ampoules, tubes and bottles. In addition, the drug has its own analogues.
Consumption rate
Depending on what crops are processed and what weeds the work is aimed at, the consumption of the substance depends. It ranges from 2 to 8 liters of pesticide per hectare. It is best to carry out irrigation during the active growing season, when weeds are susceptible to the action of chemicals.

Negative reviews about Bio Ground
Pavel, 46 years old: I bought it at the request of my wife, placed the order and we began to wait for the parcel. But as a result, BioGround was received only two weeks later. But we needed this weed killer much earlier. It’s good that at least the share price wasn’t high, it’s not that offensive. I haven’t used it yet, but I really hope that the result will not disappoint.
Irina, 51 years old: Perhaps I used this weed killer a little differently from the instructions, but the consumption was not entirely economical. The cost, in principle, is not overpriced if you take it at a discount, but still, somehow it doesn’t turn out to be profitable. The bottle is only 100 ml, as for me, it will not be enough if the area is large.
Precautionary measures
Processing can only be carried out in special protection - overalls, goggles, respirator and gloves. Only non-metallic equipment can be used, since metal can trigger chemical reactions and change some of the properties of the herbicide. You need to work in dry weather without wind. If there are no clouds in the sky and the air temperature is above 23 degrees, it is better to carry out the treatment early in the morning or in the evening, before sunset.
It is prohibited to interrupt food intake or smoke breaks during processing. After completing the work, you need to take a shower and drink a glass of fresh, lukewarm milk.
When using Ground simultaneously with nitrogen-containing chemicals, the effect of the herbicide is enhanced.
Safety measures when processing the area
Herbicide Ground is considered one of the best and effective means in the fight against weeds. Among its advantages are high efficiency and the ability to destroy a wide variety of types of weeds, as well as safety for the environment and soil. The last point is extremely important, since in the past the use of pesticides reduced soil fertility (Figure 3).
In addition, the herbicide has a fast action: the first symptoms of weakening of weeds are observed within a week, and complete death of the weeds occurs after a maximum of three weeks. At the same time, Ground still refers to chemicals, when working with which you should adhere to certain personal safety measures.
Firstly, it is necessary to prepare the working solution immediately before use. Its storage can be dangerous, and the substance itself loses its properties after some time. Secondly, the drug should only be diluted in water in a separate plastic container (for example, a bucket), which is not used for storing, transporting or processing food and drinking water.
Figure 3. Personal protective equipment when using the drug
It should also be taken into account that spraying with the drug should only be done in dry and clear weather without wind. It should be borne in mind that it is advisable to carry out the treatment in the morning or evening, when solar activity is reduced. This will allow the drug not to evaporate, but to be absorbed into the weed tissue.
Despite the fact that Ground belongs to drugs of the third class of toxicity, that is, it is considered practically harmless to human health, you should not ignore personal protective equipment when working with the herbicide. When spraying, be sure to wear protective clothing, gloves, a mask and a hat. This will prevent the chemical from coming into contact with the skin and mucous membranes. In addition, during spraying it is strictly forbidden to eat, drink or smoke, so that the vapors of the substance do not enter the digestive organs or respiratory tract.
To protect your body as much as possible from the chemical, immediately after spraying you need to thoroughly wash your face and hands with soap, rinse your mouth and rinse your nose (if you did not use a mask). After the treatment has been carried out, it is undesirable to stay on the sprayed field for a long time. It is better to wait two weeks and only then evaluate the effect of using the herbicide.
It often happens that part of the drug is accidentally spilled on the ground. If flowers or lawn grass grow in this area, you need to immediately take measures to save them. To do this, the spilled liquid must be sprinkled with a large amount of sand, which will absorb the moisture. As soon as the sand becomes wet, it is collected with a shovel and taken outside the site or to a place designated for disposal.
The herbicide should also be stored according to certain rules. Firstly, it should not be placed near food. Secondly, the room in which the chemical is located must be dry, dark and cool. Also, the herbicide should not be allowed to be within the reach of children and pets. Experienced gardeners also advise immediately buying exactly the amount of the drug that is required to treat the area. Although the herbicide can be stored in a sealed container for two years, for spraying small areas it is better to buy the product in small bags or tubes. This way you can immediately prepare the required amount of working solution and will not store dangerous chemicals in the house.
You will learn more information about this herbicide, its advantages and application features from the video.
What to do in case of poisoning
Herbicide "Ground" is a chemical preparation, so poisoning with the substance is possible. If the drug gets on exposed skin, they should be washed under running water and laundry soap. In case of contact with the mucous membrane of the eyes, rinse them immediately with running water.
If “Ground” gets into your mouth, you should rinse it, drink a liter of clean drinking water and induce vomiting. After this, take activated carbon at the rate of 1 tablet per 10 kg. Body mass. If a person accidentally inhales the drug, you should immediately go out into fresh air, provide an influx of oxygen, and drink 2-3 glasses of clean drinking water. If poisoning has led to a sharp deterioration in your condition, you should immediately call an emergency medical team.
