The Black Goddess tomato is an indeterminate variety or a type of plant of unlimited growth. Its bushes can reach 2 meters, when grown in greenhouse conditions more than 2.2 m. But with such a high height, the bushes of the variety are quite compact. The leaves are medium sized and dark green. The tomato begins to form flower stalks after the seventh leaf. As a rule, flowers are collected in brushes of 5-7 pieces.

Judging by the appearance of the fruit, the tomato will become a real goddess on the table. According to photos taken by gardeners of the Black Goddess tomato, its fruits are bicolor, or two-color. At the stage of technical maturity, they are colored brown-green or brown-red. At the onset of biological maturity, they acquire a dark purple color with an orange tip. In the Middle Zone, tomatoes are grown outdoors and in greenhouses; in the Urals and Siberia, greenhouse cultivation is preferable. From the moment of germination to fruiting, an average of 3.5 months passes. Inflorescences are formed actively, begin to protrude above the 7th leaf, and then repeat after 1-2 leaves.

Planting density - no more than 4 bushes per planting meter. The yield indicator is 18 kg/m2.

The tomatoes are deep dark burgundy in color. The weight of one fruit is 130-150 g, the shape is flat-round. The cherry-colored pulp is a little dense, but very tasty and juicy. The Black Goddess variety is sown in pre-prepared containers filled with moist soil according to a 2 x 3 cm pattern. The soil can be purchased at the store or prepared yourself by mixing peat, humus and garden soil in equal proportions. Coconut fiber is used to make the soil loose. It is advisable to disinfect the soil by spilling it with hot water with the addition of manganese potassium. Until the shoots emerge, containers covered with film are stored in a warm room. Seedlings are planted in pre-prepared and fertilized holes, well-diluted with water. Fertilizers include organic matter, potassium-phosphorus fertilizers, and wood ash. The stems of overgrown tomatoes can be buried a little. The holes are closed and the root zone is watered.

After planting Black Goddess tomatoes, the following types of care are carried out:

  • Plants are watered at least 2-3 times a week at the rate of one liter of water per tomato. Watering is carried out in the evening with warm, settled water. As it grows, the volume of water needs to be increased.

Tomatoes are grown from seeds. Start preparing seedlings in March. Sow the seeds in a pre-prepared soil mixture. To do this, connect equal parts:

  • turf,
  • humus,
  • peat

Enrich the resulting soil mixture with fertilizers. For every 10 g of soil, add a teaspoon of potassium sulfate, urea and superphosphate. Boxes, cassettes and containers are suitable for seedlings.

The optimal temperature for germination will be +23-25 ​​degrees. Grow seeds under film or glass until mass shoots appear. After a month, lower the temperature by a couple of degrees, and before transplanting to +18-19 degrees. This is how the plants harden and get used to different temperature conditions.

After a couple of weeks, carry out the first picking of seedlings, leaving only strong seedlings. And after 7 days, feed them with a solution of humus and settled water in a ratio of 1 to 10. After another 7-10 days, carry out another feeding with the following solution:

  • superphosphate – 1 tbsp. spoon;
  • potassium sulfate – 1 teaspoon;
  • urea – 0.5 teaspoon.

Dilute all components in 5 times water.

It's time to feed the seedlings

Transplant the seedlings when the seedlings have 8-10 leaves and one flower ovary.

In the garden, choose a place that is well lit by the sun and not subject to high humidity.

Add a handful of ash or manure to the holes before planting. Water it generously. Bury the seedlings to the first leaves. The distance between the bushes should be at least 0.5 m. After transplanting, the seedlings are watered abundantly.

Proper care of plants will allow you to get a rich harvest, avoid diseases and pest attacks. Water only at the roots, avoiding the stems and leaves. Don't forget to constantly loosen the soil. This is necessary to ensure access of moisture and oxygen to the roots.

Feed tomatoes three times during the fruiting period. To do this, use solutions of mullein and bird droppings. Do this at the following times:

  • 2 weeks after transplanting seedlings;
  • during the formation of the ovary;
  • after collecting the first fruits.

If tomatoes produce many flowers but produce few fruits, then increase the amount of phosphorus fertilizers and reduce nitrogen ones.

To prevent the plant from devoting all its energy to growth, allow the bush to form. To do this, leave 2-3 stepsons and remove the rest manually. Carry out the procedure in dry, sunny weather. In humid and rainy weather, there is a risk of infection.

  • remove weeds and loosen the soil;

In addition to late blight, tomatoes can be affected by viral diseases: bacteriosis and mosaic. In the first case, the plants wither. In the second, the leaves acquire a spotted yellow-green color. Both diseases have no cure. Affected tomatoes are removed and burned. Plantings are treated with preparations such as Flavamin-300. The source of viruses is untreated or poorly processed seeds.

The indeterminate bush is quite tall, reaching a height of 1.5 m, and needs to be tied to a trellis or any other high support. Pinching is carried out up to 1-2 stems, no more. About 6 kg of selected tomatoes ripen at a time per planting meter, so the variety is considered high-yielding. Negritenok is suitable for planting in outdoor areas because it is resistant to frost. However, for regions with cold summers and late spring, greenhouse cultivation is recommended. Negro has a number of advantages:

  • long shelf life;

Gardeners do not identify any shortcomings in Negritenok and recommend the variety for planting.
