Varieties most favorable for central Russia

Lilac is a popular plant for landscape design, and its main advantage is its resistance to frost, since in this area there are harsh weather conditions and the shrub must have “survivability.” In principle, all varieties tolerate low temperatures well, so they are suitable for such a climate. Common lilac in all its variety of domestic varieties described above and below will be an excellent solution, because, in addition to frost resistance, it is also unpretentious and has a rich varietal diversity.

Amur lilac, Hungarian lilac, Meyer lilac and Preston lilac are also suitable candidates.
