Description of the variety
The tomatoes were selected by specialists from the Siberian Research Institute of Plant Growing and Breeding specifically for farms and summer cottages in the cold regions of the Russian north.
The variety is part of the “Ural Summer Resident” seed series - plants in this series are distinguished by strong immunity, resistance to sudden temperature changes, fungal diseases, and harsh climates. Even in conditions unfavorable for other varieties, the Miracle of the Lazy Man produces a good harvest.
Distinctive features
Early, high-yielding variety. The bushes are strong, 45 centimeters high, determinate type, medium leafy . The plants do not shoot, tie up or shape, which is why the variety is loved by Ural summer residents.
In addition, tomatoes are resistant to the vagaries of the weather: cold, drought . Growing tomatoes in the southern regions is difficult - at an air temperature of +33 degrees, the formation of the ovary stops.

Rules for collecting and storing tomatoes
Tomatoes must be collected from the bushes on time to avoid cracking and rotting. Each cluster produces 12–15 fruits that ripen almost simultaneously. They do not require ripening after collection.
Thanks to their thick skin, tomatoes are stored well under the following conditions:
- at air temperature +5…+12°С;
- at air humidity of about 80%;
- in a dark room;
- being placed with the stalks up in wooden or plastic boxes.
Tomatoes can also be easily transported over long distances without losing their presentation.
Important! If harvesting is done in cold weather, before storing the tomatoes, soak them for several minutes in hot (60°C) water to prevent blackening of the fruit.
By choosing the Lazy Miracle variety for your garden, you can be sure of quickly obtaining high yields with a minimum of effort and not worry about the vagaries of the weather. How to grow seedlings
The time for planting seeds for seedlings is calculated based on the time of planting in the beds - 60 days . In the Urals and Siberia, tomatoes are planted in open ground in June, and in greenhouses in May. In central Russia - a month earlier.
Seed preparation
To begin with, good seeds are selected - large, even, and not empty to the touch . The rest are thrown away. The selected grains are placed in a salt solution (one tablespoon of salt is dissolved in a glass of water). After 15-20 minutes, the glass is checked: the floating grains are removed, and those that sank to the bottom are used for planting.
Afterwards, the seeds are heated by placing them in a cotton cloth on a central heating radiator. The procedure lasts 36-48 hours.
The next stage of seed preparation is disinfection . The grains are placed in a 1% solution of potassium permanganate for 15-20 minutes. After this time, the seeds are washed with warm running water.
Important! Many gardeners argue about the need to disinfect planting material. Some believe that this procedure has already been carried out at the manufacturer, while others note that it is better to do it yourself. In any case, remember that a solution of potassium permanganate will not save you from infections contained inside the seed.
The seeds are saturated with oxygen . Scientifically, this procedure is called bubbling. The grains are placed in water heated to +26 - +30 degrees and stirred every hour for 15-18 hours. After this time or as soon as embryos appear on the seeds, bubbling is stopped.
The sprouted seeds are set aside - they are ready for planting , and the rest are soaked in water or biostimulating preparations. The products “Zircon”, “Epin”, “Immunocytophyte” have proven themselves well.
Afterwards, the seeds are hardened : wrapped in cotton cloth and a bag, placed in a cool place with a temperature of +3 to -2 degrees. A refrigerator, balcony or summer veranda are suitable for this. After 8 hours, the seeds are removed for 8 hours. The procedure is repeated 5-6 times.
Important! The procedure is dangerous because the planting material can easily be damaged if it is not hardened correctly. Therefore, novice summer residents are advised not to harden all the seeds.
Before planting, the seeds are germinated : the grains are placed on damp gauze or a piece of cotton fabric, laid out on a flat surface (saucers, lids or a Petri dish are suitable for this) and left until embryos of 2-3 mm in size appear. Make sure that the air temperature does not fall below +25 degrees, and that the fabric is always damp.
Container and soil
Plastic containers (both special and food), cut bottles, and cake packaging are used as pots . The selected container is disinfected with a strong solution of potassium permanganate.
Important! During the procedure, gloves are worn on your hands to avoid burns.
You can buy soil for seedlings in the store or make it yourself. A purchased universal mixture consists of :
- humus;
- peat;
- river sand.
To make the soil mixture yourself, take:
- garden soil - 1 part;
- non-acidic peat – 2 parts;
- sand – 0.5 parts;
- humus or sifted mature compost - 1 part.
It is recommended to add sifted wood ash (or dolomite flour), sphagnum moss and fallen pine needles.
The earth is treated with boiling water or a solution of potassium permanganate to destroy possible fungal spores.
For reference. Garden soil is taken from areas where cucumbers, carrots, dill or zucchini previously grew. It is strictly not recommended to take soil from tomatoes, potatoes and other nightshades.
Sowing
The soil is laid out in containers, seeds are placed on top and covered with a layer of earth (5-7 mm). Using a sprayer, moisten the soil, cover the containers with film and put them in a warm (+23 degrees), bright place where direct sunlight does not reach.
Growing and care
After the sprouts appear, the film is removed . Water the seedlings using a spray bottle, syringe or spoon, being careful not to wet the cotyledon leaves.
Plants dive in the phase of the first true leaves . Tomatoes are placed in individual cups with holes made to drain excess liquid. Mineral fertilizers are added to the soil at the rate of 1 tbsp. spoon for 5 liters of soil mixture. One and a half to two weeks after picking, the tomatoes are fed with complex fertilizer. Fertilizing is repeated every 10-14 days.
Water the seedlings as the soil dries under the roots .
2-3 weeks before planting in the beds, tomatoes begin to harden: they take the seedlings out into the open air, gradually increasing the time they spend in cool temperatures and in direct sunlight.

The Lazy Miracle tomato variety is a determinate variety. The bush is low, with medium-sized leaves of dark green color. The height of the bush reaches 40-45 cm. The stem is strong, in most cases it does not need a garter.
The fruits of the Miracle Lazy tomato are oval, elongated, bright red, with a spout, smooth. The average weight of a tomato is 60-65 g. The fruits are dense, the chambers are not pronounced.
The taste of the tomato is sweet with sourness, piquant, with a slight pepperiness. The variety is distinguished by a pronounced tomato aroma.

Origin of the variety
The Lazy Miracle tomato was bred by SibNIIRS breeders for cultivation, including in the northern regions of Russia. It is resistant to low temperatures, shade-tolerant, and does not require watering. Due to the high rate of ripening, it is not susceptible to late blight.

This variety is approved for planting in both open and closed ground, even in the northern regions. Thanks to its early ripening and resistance to temperature changes, the Lazy Miracle variety ripens well in the short northern summer.

The Lazy Miracle tomato variety is an early ripening variety. The fruits are harvested at 85-95 days.
The variety is high-yielding. From 1 sq.m. harvest up to 8-9 kg of tomatoes.
Growing seedlings
Seeds for seedlings are planted in late March - early April. It is recommended to plant in soil similar to that where the plant is intended to be grown even after replanting.
Before planting, the seeds are washed and disinfected with a weak pink solution of potassium permanganate or 3% hydrogen peroxide heated to 40-50 degrees Celsius. The seeds are placed in the solution for 15-20 minutes, after which they are taken out and washed with running water.
After disinfection, the seeds are placed on a damp cloth and left for 2-3 days in a warm place until they hatch.
The seeds are planted in prepared soil to a depth of 10 mm, after which they are covered with film until sprouts appear and placed on the sunny side.
After two true leaves appear, a pick is made.
8-10 days before planting the seedlings in the ground, they begin to harden off. Containers with seedlings are placed in the refrigerator for 10-12 hours or taken out into the open air overnight, kept at a temperature of 0-2 degrees. Repeat 2-3 times.
Miracle Lazy Tomato seedlings are fed with complex fertilizer 1-2 times before planting in the ground.
Non-seedling cultivation by planting seeds directly into the ground is allowed.
Soil preparation
Like any tomato, the Lazy Miracle variety is not recommended to be planted where nightshades were grown last year. The tomato does well where cucumbers, legumes, cabbage, onions, and carrots grew.
Preparing the soil for planting tomatoes is done in the autumn. The soil is fertilized with humus or compost (half a bucket per 1 sq.m.) or chicken droppings (3.5 kg of dry droppings per 1 sq.m.), and dug up to the depth of a shovel, mixing fertilizers with the soil.
Superphosphate and potassium sulfate are added, 2 tablespoons (20 g) of each per square meter.
Planting and watering
Seedlings are planted in closed ground in late April - early May, in open ground in June. The age of the seedlings is 60-65 days. Usually planting is done in the phase of 5-6 true leaves.
Seedlings are planted according to the 30x50 pattern. After planting, the holes with seedlings are mulched with a thin layer of dry soil.
Watering seedlings begins no earlier than 10 days after planting. In regions of temperate and cold climates, seedlings are covered with film during this period. It is removed when the tomatoes get stronger.
The Lazy Miracle tomato does not need pinching, except in rare cases. Bushes on which a large number of fruits are formed are tied to a support. Usually the plant does not need a garter.
Watering is carried out after a warm sunset, preferably. settled water. Water the bushes at the roots. The Lazy Miracle tomato is resistant to drought and rainfall; a lack or excess of water does not significantly affect the taste of the fruit.
The plant does not require fertilizing, however, to increase the yield, you can apply 1-2 fertilizing with complex fertilizers. Agricultural technology consists of weeding and, when pests appear, spraying the bushes with chemicals. The bushes need to be treated until fruits appear on them.
Harvesting
Harvest as the fruits ripen. The Lazy Miracle tomato ripens even in cold climates; no ripening is necessary. The fruits are usually the same shape and size, store well and do not crack.
