How to grow green zucchini

Growing zucchini is very easy, any beginner can do it. The main thing to remember is that they do not tolerate transplantation well, so they are usually planted with seeds. The seeds are sown directly into the ground in a well-filled bed with humus, which is done by digging up the ground before planting.

Sowing

In a prepared bed (dug up, fertilized and leveled with a rake), small holes are made at a distance of 60–70 cm from each other. 1–2 seeds are sown in each at a depth of 1.5–2 cm.

The approximate rate of fertilizer application when planting zucchini is about a bucket of humus or compost per 1 m2.

It is not advisable to use mineral fertilizers; these plants prefer organic matter. In the absence of organic fertilizers, they are replaced by adding about 30–40 g of superphosphate, 25–35 g of potassium salt and 30–50 g of ammonium sulfate per 1 m2 when digging.

Zucchini does not tolerate frost, and its seeds germinate only in well-warmed soil. Usual sowing times (directly into the ground without shelter):

  • in the Black Earth Region and to the south - from late April to early May;
  • in the central regions of Russia and southern Siberia - approximately May 20–25;
  • in the northern regions and the Urals - from May 30 to June 5.

When covering the beds with polyethylene or non-woven covering material, zucchini can be sown 1–2 weeks earlier. The shelter is removed after the end of frost and the onset of stable warm weather.

Using shelters allows you to sow zucchini one to two weeks earlier than usual

Sowing zucchini seedlings is advisable only in the northernmost regions with short summers. Seeds are placed one at a time in special peat cups with soil about 1 month before planting in the ground. After the frosts end, they can be planted in open ground in a permanent place.

Plants do not like transplanting, so seedlings should be considered only a necessary measure for particularly unfavorable conditions.

Zucchini care

The bed must be kept free of weeds at all times, that is, weeding it and carefully loosening the soil surface. You must try not to touch or damage the roots.

Water infrequently, but abundantly. In the absence of rain - 1-2 times a week, a bucket of water per bush. It is necessary to water very carefully, avoiding erosion of the soil at the roots and water getting on the leaves, buds and ovaries.

If the bed was well fertilized when sowing, no additional fertilizing is required. Mulching the soil, that is, covering it with any material available to you (sawdust, wood chips, nut shells) helps retain moisture and prevents the growth of weeds.

Mulching with wood chips retains soil moisture and prevents weed growth

The bushes usually grow very powerful. To make them better ventilated and make it more convenient to collect fruits, some of the old leaves lying on the ground can be removed by carefully cutting them off with a knife at the base of the petiole.

Powerful zucchini bushes with beautiful carved leaves and large yellow flowers are very elegant and decorate the area.

During flowering, zucchini requires pollination by bees or bumblebees. Unpollinated ovaries fall off. In most varieties, male flowers (barren flowers) appear first, which are necessary for pollination. Female flowers (with an ovary at the base of the bud) begin to open a couple of days later. Very rarely does a situation arise when a plant has only female flowers - in this case, they simply have nothing to pollinate with, and there will be no harvest. This can be avoided by planting several varieties nearby.

Zucchini bushes are very beautiful when they bloom

Zucchini of different varieties easily cross-pollinate with each other and with some varieties of pumpkin, so seeds from your own garden do not retain varietal characteristics.

This is an early ripening variety with excellent taste, increased resistance to low temperatures and various diseases. Fruits up to 7 cm in length are suitable for canning.

How are zucchini different from zucchini?

Some varieties of zucchini are almost no different in appearance from zucchini, but most representatives of this genus of plants have significant differences.

As the zucchini grows, it quickly spreads along the ground with long stems. Zucchini of any variety will sprout as a bush. In addition, its leaves always have a rich green color, and in some cases, an interesting, decorative pattern. The pulp of the fruit is much more tender and has a bright taste.

Growing zucchini is much easier, as they are unpretentious and tolerate temperature changes without problems. Zucchini fights weeds with large, loose leaves that occupy a large space and do not provide territory for foreign plants. Zucchini, on the contrary, is whimsical to grow. It needs to be provided with sufficient sun, warm and moist soil. On the other hand, it ripens much faster than zucchini.

You can eat zucchini either raw or by preparing it in various ways. The pulp is allowed to be consumed together with the skin. At the same time, even young zucchini requires heat treatment.

Zucchini improves liver function and has a relatively small amount of calories. However, zucchini is superior to them due to even lower calorie content and a large amount of useful microelements and vitamins. Therefore, it is often included in the diet when following a therapeutic diet.

Yield squash varieties

Yield zucchini is a variety that is preferred by many gardeners who grow fruits for their personal needs and to make a good profit from their sale.

Harvest and storage

It takes 40-57 days to care for and grow zucchini. There are several simple ways to determine the ripeness of pumpkins:

  • the fruits are evenly colored and have a length characteristic of the variety;
  • when tapping, a dull sound is heard;
  • the bark is dense.

Advice. Lovers of fresh salads should not wait long for ripening. It is better to collect fruits measuring 12-15 cm.

Pumpkins are cut from the bushes with a knife; if you unscrew them with your hands, you can damage the plant. Vegetables for current use are stored in the refrigerator. If you leave a long stem, they will last longer. Usually the product is not stored longer than two weeks, it becomes soft and rots.

After growing and harvesting, the problem arises of how to preserve the crop. Not all types of zucchini are suitable for long-term storage. Vegetables should have thick skin and small seeds. Yellow fruits and zucchini are the best. Pumpkins must be ripe. Technical maturity is recommended for cooking only.

Information: If you create optimal storage conditions, you can count on fresh zucchini for 5 months.

Vegetables are stored in various ways:

  • put in boxes, sprinkled with straw or sawdust so that the zucchini does not touch each other;
  • placed in mesh bags.

You must choose a dry, dark and cool place. For fresh storage in winter, the following varieties are used: “Golden House”, “Festival”, “Aeronaut”, “Golden Cup”, “Arlica f1”. Dry, clean pumpkins are laid without damaging the skin. Any defect leads to the development of rot. The fruit itself spoils and infects the rest of the zucchini.

  • “Festival” is a hybrid with an unusual peel color. The fruits are round, 10-15 cm in diameter, and resemble a pumpkin in appearance. Zucchini ripens in August. Due to their variegated color - alternating stripes of orange, white, black, vegetables are used as room decoration. Beneath the dense bark is tender, sweet orange flesh. Pumpkins last until January.
  • "Arlica F1" is a compact bush with cylindrical fruits. The color is green, the surface is slightly ribbed. The length of pumpkins is up to 17 cm. The hybrid ripens in 40-42 days and produces a bountiful harvest. Can be grown in a greenhouse and in open ground.

The pulp is dense with a rich taste. The fruits are recommended for preparing caviar and pickling. Technical maturity occurs 40-45 days after planting in the ground. The leaves are green, strongly dissected, long petioles. The variety is resistant to powdery mildew. It is not fussy to care for and produces crops in a little shade.
  • “Tender marshmallow” is an unusual two-colored vegetable with unusually sweet pulp. The shape is elongated, curved, the green area located at the end is thicker than the rest. The crop is early ripening; during the growing season you can harvest up to 8 kg of zucchini. The flowers are self-pollinating. Yellow-green fruits are used not only for culinary purposes, but also for interior decoration. The harvest is harvested during the period of milky ripeness, 10-15 cm long. It is not suitable for long-term storage, it begins to deteriorate.
  • "Parthenon" is a parthenocarpic hybrid with smooth, dark green fruits. Its yield does not depend on adverse weather conditions that interfere with the flight of pollinating insects. The peel is thin, glossy. The shape of the pumpkins is straight, without bends. The pulp has a pleasant taste. The culture is not afraid of powdery mildew. Vegetables do not lose freshness for a long period of time and tolerate transportation well. For storage it is better to use a dry cellar.

Zucchini care

Italian zucchini is not a very demanding plant, but it needs good moisture.

Caring for transplanted seedlings

Zucchini is a moisture-loving vegetable, so watering should be timely. Do not let the soil under the bush dry out, otherwise the zucchini will shed its ovaries. But you shouldn’t flood the soil either; the roots, deprived of oxygen, can begin to rot.

In each region, the irrigation regime varies depending on precipitation and the number of sunny days, but standard watering is carried out once every 5 days. During fruiting it increases - once every 3 days. The water requirement for a bush is 10 - 12 liters.

Water only with warm water. Try to prevent moisture from getting on the leaves and ovary, so pour it under the root. It is advisable to carry out the procedure early in the morning.

Water the zucchini only with warm water at the root.

The first feeding is carried out 2 weeks after transplantation. Complex mineral fertilizers are used, which are applied strictly at the root after preliminary moistening. Zucchini is very responsive to organic matter. A solution of 1/10 mullein or 1/20 chicken manure will come in handy during flowering. But if there is no such fertilizer, wood ash will help out. During the period of fruit formation, zucchini needs phosphorus-potassium supplements. The working solution is prepared according to the instructions.

Keep Italian zucchini beds clean. Weeding and loosening after watering are rules of care that should not be neglected. And don’t forget about the beneficial properties of mulch. It will help maintain a normal level of moisture in the soil and protect the roots from overheating.

Zucchini loves clean beds

Caring for zucchini from seeds

When the shoots appear, you need to leave the strongest plant in the hole. The weak should be cut or plucked out. If you try to pull it out, do it carefully so as not to damage the roots of the remaining seedling. A month after planting the seeds, fertilizing is applied to the soil - 40 g of complex mineral fertilizer dissolved in 10 liters of water. Otherwise, care is carried out in the same way as for plants grown from seedlings.

General rules of care

Regardless of the methods used to plant zucchini, there are general rules for caring for it.

  1. The productivity of zucchini depends on the work of pollinating insects - bees, bumblebees. To attract them, prepare a weak solution of honey (dissolve 1 teaspoon in a glass of water) and spray the flowering bushes of the plant early in the morning. With insufficient pollination, the ovary turns yellow, dries out and falls off. This often happens with high humidity, when pollen sticks together or in very hot weather - pollen loses its ability to fertilize. In conditions where insects do not fly, the pollination process can be carried out manually. Cut the male flower and, by trimming or bending its petals, apply pollen to the pistil of the female flower. One male flower is enough to pollinate 2 - 3 female flowers.

    Sometimes zucchini has to be pollinated by hand

  2. Despite the fact that zucchini grows compactly, by the middle of the growing season a large leaf mass forms on the plant. It interferes with the normal process of ventilation of the middle of the bush and pollination, and does not allow the sun's rays to heat the soil. To improve lighting, heating and ventilation, remove 2 to 3 leaves from the middle. In addition, you should constantly cut off the lower leaves, which lie on the ground and prevent the fruits from developing.
  3. If fruits come into contact with damp soil, they may begin to rot and mold. A piece of plywood or a small board placed under the fruit will help prevent this.

Yellow varieties

There are amazing varieties of zucchini with yellowish skin, which especially attracts the attention of gardeners. The varieties are practically no different from white zucchini or vegetables with a different shade of skin.

Description and features

Zucchini comes from the valley of Oaxaca (Mexico), where initially only the seeds were eaten. It came to Europe in the 16th century along with pumpkin and other fruits unusual for that time. For a long time, the vegetable was grown exclusively in botanical gardens, and no one even thought about its edible qualities. It is believed that zucchini was brought to Europe from America, and zucchini became popular thanks to Italian chefs. In the 18th century, they were the first to prepare unripe fruits, rich in fiber and vitamins.

Zucchini was brought to Russia from Greece and Turkey in the 19th century; the previously unknown vegetable began to be called in the Turkic manner; in Turkish, pumpkin is pronounced “zucchini.”

Zucchini

Zucchini is a bush-shaped pumpkin. For a long time, only white-fruited forms were cultivated in the country. Zucchini with yellow and dark green fruits has only been known for a few decades, but has become very popular, especially in Europe.

White-fruited bush squash

The tropical origin of a vegetable also determines its growing conditions (humidity, temperature, light, soil structure). Heavy and acidic clay soil is not suitable for it. On fertile soil with a sufficient amount of humus, zucchini produce high yields.

Zucchini

Zucchini is a type of zucchini that is in great demand in European countries. Since its fruits are stored for a long time in a state of technical ripeness, zucchini quickly spread to Russia.

Classification of zucchini

When choosing the best varieties for open ground, you should take into account their characteristics. Culture is classified according to several criteria.

Varietal zucchini

White-skinned vegetables and zucchini have a rich flavor that lasts after cooking. They are characterized by a thick skin and the presence of seeds. The pulp is dense, white or creamy with a delicate taste. Positive qualities are not lost after various types of culinary processing (stewing, pickling). Among the varietal crops there are many types of domestic selection. They are adapted to difficult weather conditions, low temperatures, winds and drought. The harvest requires timely harvesting; the overripe peel becomes very dense and the pulp fibrous.

Information. After biological ripening of the fruit, the seeds of the variety you like are collected, dried and left for planting next year.

The most popular zucchini varieties for planting in the garden are the Beloplodny variety. Vegetables ripen quickly (42-44 days) and produce a good harvest. The fruits are large, smooth, cylindrical in shape.

The early-ripening variety “White Swan” has many positive qualities: high taste, productivity, shelf life and transportability, resistance to rot and infections. The bark is white, thin, the flesh is medium-dense, juicy. Weight 0.6-0.8 kg. Fruits that are 7-10 days old are recommended for preparation.

“Sosnovsky” is a product of domestic selection with a wide growing area, including the North-West, Center, Urals, Siberia, North Caucasus. The culture has excellent commercial qualities. It is a bush with one short lash. Pumpkins are cylindrical with smooth bark, white without a pattern. The pulp is creamy, fibrous, with a delicate taste. The fruits are large, from 1 to 1.5 kg. Productivity 7-13 kg. The variety requires prevention from powdery mildew infection. Zucchini is used as feed for livestock farms.

Hybrids

Hybrid crops are created by Russian and foreign breeders. These are artificially created varieties of zucchini, endowed with a whole range of positive characteristics:

  • The fruits are attractive, of different colors, with smooth skin.
  • Vegetables are resistant to cold, disease and drought.
  • The plants produce a bountiful harvest.
  • Plantings are not attacked by pests, viruses and diseases.

Annuals have a powerful faceted stem, erect or creeping. The leaves are large, five-lobed, light or dark green. Some varieties are spotted. Hybrids often do not require the presence of insects, being self-pollinating. The fruits are always attractive, with smooth skin, moderate ribbing, and various colors (white, green, yellow). Zucchini can surprise you with its unusual shape - round, pear-shaped.

Information. How can you easily distinguish a hybrid from a varietal crop? Artificial series are marked with the designation F1.

Among the many undoubted advantages, it is worth noting several disadvantages:

  • They are inferior in taste to varietal crops.
  • Plant seeds cannot be used to grow vegetables with the same characteristics and qualities.

When choosing which hybrid variety of zucchini is best to plant, many gardeners lean toward the “Cavili” zucchini. The vegetables belong to a series of Dutch selection. Its representatives are high-yielding and are successfully grown in open ground. Compact bushes provide up to 9 kg of fruit per season. The bark is light green, the flesh is crisp and low in sugar. Recommended for preservation.

Information. Zucchini is considered a subspecies of the common pumpkin; its fruits are called pumpkins.

Hybrid “Sukha F1” is a group of Dutch selection with ultra-early ripening. From planting seeds to harvesting, only 35-40 days pass. The fruits are medium-sized: length up to 18 cm, weight 600-700 g. The bark is green, smooth, with whitish spots. The pulp has a high content of dry matter. The variety is recommended for long-term storage. Productivity is high.

Zucchini

A dark-skinned, tender-fleshed crop bred in Italy. A characteristic feature of zucchini is its rugged leaves with a silvery or whitish pattern. This is a more perfect form of zucchini:

  • vegetables will ripen early;
  • are characterized by high productivity;
  • the skin is thin and soft;
  • the pulp is rich in vitamin C;
  • the rich taste and delicate structure allows the product to be consumed raw or added to salads;
  • The compact bushes are dominated by female flowers, which guarantees plenty of fruit.

Zucchini is a heat-loving vegetable; when choosing a planting site, you should take into account the illumination of the area. Among the popular varieties:

  • “Delicacy” - late-ripening zucchini, grows in bushes. The fruits are elongated, dark green with light streaks and specks on the skin. The pulp is juicy and has a sweetish taste. Universal culinary use.
  • “Tsukesha” is a zucchini with a pleasant taste, suitable for main courses and canning. The fruits are large - length 30-35 cm, diameter 12 cm, weight up to 900 g. The color of the bark is dark green with specks; during the period of biological maturity an orange tint appears. Ripens quickly, in 40-45 days. An undoubted advantage of the variety is the ability to lie in a cool place for a long time.

Varietal zucchini and hybrids are presented in a huge variety on the market. Series of domestic and foreign selection are offered. Are there any fundamental differences between them? Probably not. Russian vegetables are resistant to cold weather and bear fruit at low temperatures. They have a characteristic taste, which is appreciated by lovers, and good keeping quality, which allows you to preserve fresh pumpkins for a long time.

Foreign hybrids are distinguished by an abundance of colors and shapes. They have thin skin and taste with varying degrees of sweetness. The varieties are characterized by a disproportionate ratio of pulp and seeds, the seed chambers are small or completely absent. Pumpkins are not prone to overgrowing. Foreign hybrids are more thermophilic and require abundant and regular watering. They are attractive, but in mineral composition they are inferior to varieties of domestic selection.

According to the time of ripening, vegetables are divided into three groups:

  • Early varieties for open ground (vegetation period 40-45 days): zucchini “Iskander”, “Skvorushka”, “Slonenok”, “Scilly”.
  • Mid-season (ripen in 45-50 days): “Ronde”, “Ksyusha F1”, “Kuand”.
  • Late-ripening (grows in 57-60 days): “Black Beauty”, “Nut”, “Tivoli F1”.

Interesting fact. The average size of ripe zucchini is 15-30 cm, but there are giant vegetables that grow up to 1.5 m.

Along with conventional crops, self-pollinating varieties for open ground have been bred - “Partenon”, “Sukha F1”. Such vegetables are suitable for regions where there are no pollinating insects. A distinctive feature of such fruits is the absence of seeds. According to the shape of the bush, plants are divided into two types:

  1. Bush zucchini varieties are compact crops with erect stems. One plant requires an area of up to 1 square meter. m. This variety includes: zucchini “Gribovsky”, “Belogor F1”, “Golden Cup”, zucchini “Tsukesha”.
  2. Climbing varieties are plants with creeping stems like a pumpkin. Vegetables require more free metabolite, but the inconvenience is compensated by their high taste. The group includes “Waterfall F1”, “Karal”, “Aral F1”, “Long-fruited”. Experienced gardeners recommend tying the vines to trellises. Vertical supports save site area.

Information. In addition to the usual cylindrical shape, the fruits are pear-shaped, round, and curved.

Green Way

Since 2014, in the south of Ukraine, zucchini, like cucumbers, have suffered greatly from powdery mildew. A simple and reliable solution is corn . It shades, and in addition, it releases something else biologically active (enzymes, ferments) into the soil, this significantly strengthens the young shoots of zucchini.

Then, a continuous cover of any pumpkin leaves, prickly on the underside, protects the soil not only from overheating, but also from most pests. More about the “three sisters” guild (corn, beans, pumpkins) a little later.

Zucchini are quite elegant and unpretentious plants, with beautiful bright yellow flowers, gradual and very long fruiting, and are extremely valuable for vegetarians, raw foodists, dietary and medical nutrition. Well, the most important thing is that zucchini takes care of itself, and is very helpful to other plants, does not distract from other concerns at the dacha, and does not require exhausting labor.

Bush white squash with fruits and flower

The well-known zucchini comes from Mexico, where local Indians grew and ate zucchini long before our era.

the “Three Sisters Guild ” ( zucchini + corn + beans , which is now fashionable among organic farmers and eco-farmers . Dense zucchini leaves not only shade the soil and prevent weeds from germinating, but also repel almost all pests, even rodents! It is especially important for zucchini that they quickly deplete the soil if peas, beans or beans are not planted in the guild with them (that is, in the same hole).

Any legume plant climbs very beautifully and without hassle over corn. Well, the most important thing is that it is corn, with its special aroma, that saves zucchini, zucchini, pumpkins and cucumbers from powdery mildew and other diseases and pests. The shape of the fruit is oblong, the color is yellow, white or green, depending on the variety. Zucchini is an Italian type of zucchini, or rather, a variety of dark zucchini bred in Italy. We will now look at the difference between it and the usual white zucchini.

Appearance Both zucchini and squash are varieties of squash. But the advantage of these vegetables is that pumpkin has a fairly long ripening process, and zucchini and zucchini can be eaten in the form of ovaries.

Zucchini has a bush shape, often spreads along the ground, and has many branches. Zucchini also grows as a bush, but more neat, without branches. While zucchini can grow to gigantic sizes, zucchini is much smaller than its counterpart.

The fruits of both vegetables have an oblong shape, but the squash fruit is often white or yellow, and the zucchini fruit is often dark green with a pattern. The pulp of zucchini is more tender and soft.

Agricultural technology, how to grow Many people choose zucchini as a very unpretentious vegetable. Although it also requires some care. Zucchini loves neutral soil, but grows worst in clay and acidic soil. This vegetable likes the sun, so you need to choose an open, well-lit place for planting. Zucchini does not need abundant watering; once or twice a week is enough, and when the zucchini begins to bear fruit, you can increase watering up to three to four times. The advantage of zucchini is that they do not need to be weeded; zucchini bushes grow in such a way that it is very difficult for weeds to survive in their shade.

Zucchini loves warmth and does not tolerate frost. Zucchina flowers are larger and located at a considerable distance from each other, which makes them easier to pollinate. Zucchini have almost no branches, their leaves are larger, sometimes they have a pattern, like the fruits. For good growth of zucchini, a temperature of 22-25°C is required. In addition, zucchini, unlike zucchini, love moist soil, abundant watering, and humid air. This plant needs a lot of water during flowering and fruit ripening. These vegetables do not grow well in one place for several years; it is advisable to replant them, but it is easier to plant them in a polycultural complex (guild) with legumes that saturate the soil with nitrogen and other nutrients.

Preparation and beneficial properties What makes zucchini so captivating is that it can be eaten in any form, even raw. The delicate skin of zucchini is also edible, but zucchini has a rougher skin that needs to be cut off. It is better to stew or fry zucchini, and zucchini is good even with minimal heat treatment.

Dieters know very well that zucchini is low in calories. Only 27 kcal.

Zucchini is rich in vitamin C and carotene; zucchini also contains a lot of potassium and folic acid. For liver diseases, it is recommended to eat zucchini as it removes harmful substances from the body and promotes the secretion of bile.

Like zucchini, zucchini is highly digestible. carotene in zucchini than in carrots, and more vitamin C than in pumpkin. It is simply irreplaceable when dieting, since in addition to the low calorie level, zucchini also does not need to be cooked. Zucchini has only 16 kcal.

So let's count the differences between zucchini and zucchini : 1. External differences: zucchini is a type of zucchini, but smaller, the leaves and flowers of zucchini are larger, zucchini branches, and zucchini grows as a bush, the color of the fruit of zucchini is white or yellow, in zucchini it is often dark. green. 2. Zucchini is more heat-loving and moisture-loving; zucchini tolerates temperature fluctuations more easily. 3. Zucchini ripens faster than zucchini. 4. Zucchini can even be eaten raw; zucchini is better stewed or fried. 5. Both vegetables are low in calories, but zucchini has fewer calories.

There are also very elegant green and yellow zucchini. IMPORTANT: different varieties of zucchini and zucchini achieve the ideal taste at completely different sizes and different stages of maturity. They can only be determined in the garden beds, only experimentally. The simplest thing is to create templates of the size, for example, from wooden slats or chips, coloring them with markers (felt-tip pens) in light green, yellow, dark green or yellow-dark green.

The benefits and harms of zucchini in detail . Like any other product of plant origin, the benefits and harms of zucchini arise from its properties.

Benefits of zucchini The great benefit of zucchini is that, in any form, it has an excellent effect on digestion and supports healthy skin.

What’s interesting is that zucchini’s composition is practically the same, regardless of what variety they are. It is considered a dietary product, since the benefits of zucchini of any color and variety are its low calorie content.

Oddly enough, in this fairly strong and elastic vegetable, almost ninety-five percent of the composition is ordinary water. The other part is proteins and carbohydrates. However, like many vegetables, the benefits of zucchini include a number of beneficial substances that are necessary for proper human nutrition. Among them are minerals such as salts of phosphorus and magnesium, potassium and sodium, calcium and iron. In addition, zucchini contains many microelements necessary for the body, such as titanium, lithium, molybdenum, zinc, and others.

It’s interesting that there is hundreds of times more of such an element as potassium in zucchini than, for example, sodium. This helps normalize the water balance in the body, so the benefit of zucchini is the ability to actively participate in getting rid of excess fluid. It is also known that zucchini contains many vital vitamins. This is provitamin vitamin A (carotene), nicotinic acid, vitamins B1 and B2, and, finally, there is a significant amount of vitamin C. For people who suffer from gastrointestinal diseases, the benefits of zucchini are the presence of delicate cellulose and a small amount of organic acids.

Therefore, people with such ailments can eat zucchini without fear of irritation of the digestive organs. And the small amount of carbohydrates makes it very useful for diabetics. In addition, zucchini has a diuretic and choleretic effect, which may well help remove toxic substances from the body, including cholesterol and radionuclides, and will be useful for those people who have kidney and liver diseases. Zucchini is good for saying goodbye to excess body weight. The benefit of zucchini is the feeling of a full stomach and satiety after eating it, which reduces the desire to eat. For quite a long time, juices have been prepared from zucchini, and decoctions have been made from its flowers. They are well used for the purpose of preventing, again, diseases of the digestive organs, and flower decoctions are also used to treat skin diseases. In addition, their use improves the condition of blood vessels, prevents the occurrence of atherosclerosis and calms the nervous system. Especially useful for older people. The uniqueness of zucchini is that they have an excellent moisturizing effect, which is why they are often used as the main ingredient in various moisturizing face masks. Zucchini pulp rejuvenates, improves color and microcirculation of facial blood, and protects the skin from ultraviolet radiation.

Harm of zucchini However, not in all cases and not everyone will benefit from zucchini as much as we would like. It was written above that zucchini is useful for people with kidney diseases, but it is still worth remembering that in case of kidney failure, excessive consumption without consulting a doctor can only aggravate the patient’s condition. Since the removal of potassium from the body is disrupted, and zucchini contains it in large quantities. Also, despite the fact that zucchini is useful for people with digestive disorders, nevertheless, raw zucchini is undesirable for people suffering from gastritis and peptic ulcers.

This vegetable in its raw form causes irritation to the surface of the mucous membranes, so in such a situation the harm of zucchini will most likely manifest itself.

A healthy person can eat zucchini freely, a lot and with pleasure, and if there are ailments, then it would not be amiss to consult with specialists, then the benefits of zucchini are guaranteed and no harm will appear.
