Many people do not know that at home you can grow mushrooms, including porcini mushrooms, which are very useful due to vegetable protein, fiber, and a large amount of vitamins. We will tell you about the features of planting and subsequent care of mushrooms in the apartment (these tips apply to almost all types).
Yes, this is not as simple a process as it might seem at first glance, since it is necessary to provide the mushrooms with their usual habitat.
In addition, they are very picky about the climate and require good lighting and humidified air. It is quite problematic to create all the necessary conditions, but it is still possible. And in this case, you can harvest mushrooms almost all year round.
Growing method
I grow mushrooms in planters hydroponically in an artificial environment. As a result, I get the harvest much faster than if I used soil. The positive aspects of such cultivation are as follows:
- It is only necessary to maintain a suitable temperature and humidity in a bright room without direct sunlight.
- To plant mushrooms, you just need to place red clay in the planter.
- This is a growing method that prevents excessive drying and wetting and maintains moderate humidity.
- If you use a special soil - clay, you do not need to worry about pests.
The following types of mushrooms can be grown at home:
- enokitake (Japanese honey mushroom);
- oyster mushroom;
- nameko (edible scale);
- Buna Shimeji (an edible mushroom from East Asia);
- eringi (steppe white mushroom).
All of the organisms listed produce mushrooms on the mushroom bed. Shiitake plants also form beds, so they are not suitable for growing in soil.
Soil preparation
The main difficulty in growing boletus and other mushrooms is preparing a suitable habitat for them. You can purchase ready-made soil mixture at a garden store. Or you can prepare it yourself using dry moss, conifer branches, oak or birch leaves.

All components need to be crushed, clay and sifted sand should be added to them in a ratio of 4 to 1. After this, the substrate is left to infuse in a warm room for 2.5 weeks.
Materials
Mushrooms are living things. Therefore, wash your hands thoroughly before working to prevent germs. You will need:
