Tomato Siberian Trump: reviews, characteristics, variety description

How to get a high yield of Siberian Abundance

To get a high and early harvest of this variety, seeds for seedlings need to be sown at the earliest permissible time and use plant lighting. The optimal time for sowing seeds is the second ten days of February. The seedlings are transferred to the greenhouse at the end of April, where the air temperature is maintained at 24–26 °C. At night the temperature can be dropped to 18–20 °C. Strict requirements for the level of development of seedlings: it must have a well-formed first brush, which is in the full extension phase. If this condition is met, the harvest will begin at the very beginning of June. Plants in the greenhouse are arranged in two rows with a distance between rows of 40 cm, between plants in a row - 40 cm, aisle - 70 cm.

In order for the bushes to be able to provide all the fruits set with nutrients, the plants need to be additionally fed. The best results are obtained by fertilizing with mullein infusion; 2 kg of fresh mullein are poured into 8 liters of water and infused for a week. For watering plants, this infusion is diluted 5–6 times. Tomatoes need such fertilizing every 2 weeks. In the absence of mullein, fertilizing can be done with fertilizers based on humin, amino acids and microelements or mineral fertilizers in fertilizers.

Care

The first fertilizing can be done within two weeks; mineral fertilizers are perfect for this. Apply the second and third at intervals of a month.

Weeds are the main enemies of tomatoes; they need to be regularly pulled out and the soil mulched, this will help retain moisture in the soil for a longer time. The Siberian Trump needs to be watered regularly; drip irrigation is suitable. As the bushes grow, they need to be tied to a support.

It is recommended to form a bush with 2 stems; all stepsons up to the first cluster must be removed.

Characteristics and description of the Siberian Trump tomato

It’s not news that any gardener gives preference to varieties that have been proven over the years, but in any case, he buys new seeds every year, expecting a fabulous harvest.

After all, each variety has its own advantages, be it high yield, early ripeness, fruit appearance, taste, or resistance to diseases and climatic conditions.

The variety “Siberian Trump” was bred by domestic breeders and entered into the state register of the Russian Federation as suitable for cultivation in open soil and film shelters. It belongs to the mid-season varieties; the fruits ripen already 110-115 days after the sprouts appear. The bush is of a determinate type, reaches a height of 80 cm. The best varieties of tomatoes for 2021: photos and descriptions

When choosing tomatoes for their plot, gardeners, first of all, rely on varietal or hybrid characteristics. Productivity is the most important criterion on which the quantity and quality of the harvest depends. Sometimes it can be difficult to choose the right option from the rich variety of tomatoes for open ground and greenhouses. Then varieties are selected depending on the growing region, ripening period, degree of disease resistance and other factors.

Varieties for open ground

A huge number of species with excellent yields are intended for growing vegetables in the open air. Low-growing bushes with large fruits are one of the advantages of tomatoes for the soil. Such heat-loving plants are easier to care for and do not require complex agricultural practices.

According to ripening period

Tomatoes, like other vegetable crops, are characterized by different ripening periods, from early to late.

Ripening periodRipening of fruits after the appearance of the first shootsgeneral characteristicsThe most productive tomatoes (2020)
Ultra-early ripeningOn day 80-85The fruits are small, juicy, and low in sugar. The height of the bush is no more than 50 cm. Not suitable for preservation. Little Red Riding Hood, Pride of Russia, Benito, Superstar, Valentina, Marisha, Maksimka
Early ripeningFor 90-95 daysSmall, delicate fruits, average yield. Suitable for canning and salads. Bushes grow up to 70 cm Agatha, Riddle, Augustine, Lyana, Sanka, Buyan, Lakomka, Amur standard, Grandmother's kiss
Mid-earlyOn days 100-103The fruits are juicy, small, aromatic. The purpose is universal. Bush shape - compact Openwork, Babushkino, Pulka, Red Giant, Russian Soul, Cardinal, Flamingo
Mid-seasonOn day 100-115High taste, excellent yield. There are both low-growing and tall varieties Scarlet Candles, Hybrid Basket, Stresa, Intuition, Black Baron, Pudovik, Pink Honey
Late ripeningOn day 120-130Excellent fruit taste, high yield, universal purpose. Good keeping quality and transportability of fruits Giraffe, Cosmonaut Volkov, Titan, Rio Grande, Russian size, King of Kings, Rocket, Premier

The ripening time, color and shape of tomatoes depends on the variety.

Usually early-ripening vegetables with not large fruits and not a large harvest, but with a quick, friendly yield of ripe tomatoes. Mid-season ones also have medium sizes. Late ones are usually difficult to care for, but it is among them that you can find champions in weight, but there are not many such beauties on the bush.

Description of varieties of Siberian selection

The sharply continental climate of the vast region of the northeastern part of Russia does not allow vegetable growers to grow crops with a long growing season and those that are demanding of a certain microclimate. Summer residents who have plots in such areas try to select tomato seeds of Siberian selection, bred specifically for the so-called areas. risky farming, i.e. those that tolerate low temperatures have early fruiting periods.

Siberian varieties of tomato crops are updated annually

There is a large assortment of such vegetables. Among the variety offered, you can choose hybrid tomatoes endowed with good disease resistance. In addition, the Siberian Garden company offers varietal vegetables for open beds and greenhouses with excellent taste and remarkable appearance:

  1. The Siberian malachite tomato is a productive variety, the fruits hang in clusters on the bushes. The vegetables are not very large, their taste is attractive and balanced. They attract with their bright colors; ripe yellow fruits have green streaks.
  2. Siberian Troika - suitable for cultivation both in open areas and in greenhouse conditions. Plant seedlings tolerate a lack of lighting well. The fruits have an average weight of 150-200 g; red pepper-shaped vegetables are good fresh and suitable for any type of preservation.
  3. Siberian Trump is a variety created for open ground. Raspberry-colored fruits can reach 700 g. Tomato bushes are low-growing; refers to early varieties.
  4. Siberian surprise - the stated ripening time for these vegetables is 110 days, the shape of the fruit is elongated, and the size is medium. It tolerates temperature changes well; the crop yield with proper care is 10 kg/m².
  5. Nastya-Siberian - refers to plants with an average period of fruit ripening. Their weight reaches 200 g, and they look like barrels. The color is raspberry-red, the taste is attracted by the high sugar content in the pulp. The bushes are squat, with strong trunks.
  6. The Siberian giant is famous not only for the large weight of its fruits, but also for their excellent taste. The variety is intended for greenhouses of any design. This specimen belongs to the mid-season varieties; indeterminate bushes are responsive to fertilizers and timely moisture.

Siberian varieties of tomato crops are updated annually, for example, the Siberian Liana variety was developed recently; it is best grown indoors. The consistently productive variety is good for any preparation and fresh consumption. The rounded fruits are formed on clusters of 6-7 pieces, have a pink tint, their fleshy pulp is endowed with a bright tomato aroma. The height of the bushes is about 160 cm, up to 30 fruits are formed on the clusters, they need to be rationed.

The sharply continental climate of the vast region of the northeastern part of Russia does not allow vegetable growers to grow crops with a long growing season and those that are demanding of a certain microclimate

The ultra-early tomato Pink Miracle is a hybrid; the bushes grow low, up to 70 cm. Pink vegetables seem to cling to the plant. The yield is amazing; you can get up to 7 kg from one bush! The culture is resistant to late blight and other diseases.

The Velvet Season variety may appeal to many vegetable growers; it successfully combines productivity, compactness and large fruit.

It is worth noting the tomato called the Tsar’s Gift, the soft pink fruits of which reach 500 g. The tomatoes are surprisingly tasty, like many other pink varieties. Their shape is barrel-shaped, the yield is good.

Description of tomato Rally f1 and agricultural technology for cultivating the hybrid

The Rally tomato belongs to the group of early ripening hybrids. The variety is adapted for cultivation in open ground conditions in the southern regions of the country, the Volga region. For the middle zone, cultivation in greenhouses is recommended. Large fruits have excellent taste and tolerate transportation well.

Advantages of the variety

Rally f1 tomatoes are first generation hybrids. The super early variety begins to bear fruit 2 months after the seeds emerge. The culture is popular among vegetable growers due to the ability to obtain early produce.

During the growing season, tall branched bushes with abundant foliage of a dark emerald color are formed. Strong shoots can reach 0.6-0.75 m. The plant requires regular removal of stepsons and garters to supports or trellises.

The first peduncle is formed at the level of 4-5 permanent leaves. The ovaries are collected in racemose inflorescences of 5-6 flowers. The characteristics and description of the variety indicate the high productivity of the crop.

  • Dense tomato fruits of rich red color.
  • With a horizontal cut, up to 5-6 chambers with seeds are observed.
  • Ripe tomatoes are round, slightly flattened.
  • The weight of the fruit reaches 250-300 g.

The first tomatoes ripen in mid-June, but harvesting is delayed for a month. It is recommended to pick the fruits as they ripen. In cooking, tomatoes are used fresh. They are not suitable for canning due to their large size.

With the open growing method, 7.5-8 kg of fruits are collected from 1 m². In greenhouse conditions, the yield reaches 12 kg.

The description of the fruit indicates their density and resistance to cracking. Ripe tomatoes can withstand transportation over long distances.

For the Rally f1 tomato, the description indicates the immunity of the crop, resistance to late blight and fusarium. These tomatoes are not affected by tobacco mosaic virus, nematodes and brown spot.

Cultivation technique

When growing this variety, you must follow the first rule, which obliges you to select the best predecessors for the crop. When organizing crop rotation, preference is given to cucumbers, zucchini, cauliflower, carrots, and parsley.

One of the best ways to grow this hybrid tomato is to sow seeds into seedlings. To do this, at home, seeds are planted in prepared and moistened soil. You can use containers or individual pots for this purpose.

After the formation of 2 true leaves, the plants are picked. Planting material is transferred into open or closed ground into prepared holes. During the growing season, monitor the moisture level. The plants are hilled up and periodically fertilized with complex preparations according to the manufacturer’s scheme.

To increase the yield, it is recommended to mulch the soil with grass and special black fiber. This event allows you to maintain the balance of air and moisture near the root system.

Caring for tomatoes in open ground

The more attention you pay to the plant, the higher the yield. Tomatoes grow on spreading and dense bushes with a height of 80 cm. The first fruits are formed after 110 days. Tomatoes are watered as the top layer dries

It is important not to let the plant dry out until round, slightly flattened fruits form, otherwise you may not get a high yield.

When tomatoes are fully formed, lack of moisture leads to cracking of the fruit. Experienced gardeners, when describing tomatoes, point to the sweet pulp having a dense consistency. They advise watering the plant in the evening at the root. Sometimes ash is added to the water at the rate of 1 tbsp. l. on a bucket of water, after watering, loosen the soil.

The ovary of tomatoes appears regardless of weather conditions. If the bush bears fruit abundantly, supports are installed for low-growing tomatoes. Weeding should be combined with loosening the soil, as weeds inhibit the development of the root system. The bush has a height of 50-70 cm and needs to be formed only if several main stems grow.

Features of caring for the Siberian variety

The Siberian Trump tomato variety does not require special care. Traditional procedures are preferred, as for other tomatoes:

  • Siberian Trump seedlings easily tolerate transplantation. Tomatoes practically do not get sick, quickly get used to new conditions and immediately begin to grow. At the initial stage, culture needs to be helped. 14 days after planting, the tomatoes are fed with complex fertilizer.
  • Weeds are the first enemy of tomatoes. Grass absorbs nutrients and moisture from the soil and becomes a spreader of fungal diseases. Get rid of weeds by weeding or mulch the soil.
  • Siberian Trump loves regular watering. The soil is kept slightly moist at all times. Mulch will help retain moisture and, in addition, will save the owner from frequent watering of tomatoes.
  • Drip irrigation technology is the most suitable for tomatoes. Water gets directly under the root of the plant. If irrigation is carried out by spraying, then early morning is chosen for the procedure. In hot weather, you cannot water tomatoes with sprinkling, otherwise the foliage will get burned.
  • As it grows, the Siberian Trump bush is tied to a support. Any peg will do or you can put up a trellis. The stepsons are removed before the first brush is formed. The optimal formation of a tomato bush is one or two trunks.
  • The lower tier of foliage on the plant is very dense. Dampness accumulates under tomato bushes, slugs and snails appear, and fungus spreads. Ventilation helps solve the problem. To allow free access of air to the lower part of the stem, the leaves from the plant are removed to a height of 25 cm from the ground.
  • At the first sign of viral mosaic or other dangerous tomato diseases, the affected bush is removed. There is no need to feel sorry for the plant. There will be no benefit from it, but the threat of the virus spreading to healthy tomatoes will happen quickly.

Throughout the entire growing season, the tomato planting is treated with preventative solutions. First of all, from late blight. It is better to prevent the disease than to treat it later.

Interesting! In the southern regions the plant can grow up to 130 cm.

In the north and east of Russia, it is not always possible to grow tomatoes that have a long growing season, which is why breeders have developed varieties such as Siberian Trump. It is adapted to worsening weather conditions and will grow and bear fruit, regardless of the climate.

Advantages

  • Excellent presentation.
  • Stable harvest.
  • Adaptation to unfavorable conditions.
  • Can be stored for a long time.
  • Tolerates transportation well.
  • Great taste.

No shortcomings were noticed.

Features of the variety

“Siberian Trump” is a determinate type variety, mid-season. It begins to bear fruit approximately 110 days after germination.

Description of the variety:

  • The bush is strong and spreading. Grows up to 80 cm.
  • High resistance to temperature changes.
  • Fruits long and abundantly.
  • Bred specifically for cultivation in open ground.

Growing seedlings

The Siberian Trump variety will give good tomato yields provided that strong seedlings are grown. To do this, you need to know how to properly prepare seeds, at what time to sow them in the ground, how to care for seedlings and the time of planting seedlings.

Preparing and planting seeds

High yields of tomatoes depend on the quality of the seeds and proper preparation for sowing. Seeds can be sown dry or pre-soaked.

Recommendations for seed preparation:

  • First, the seeds are rejected by soaking them.
  • Tomato seeds are kept for no more than 10 minutes in a 5% solution of table salt.
  • Next, the seeds are washed well and filled with clean water for further swelling.
  • The flooded seeds are placed in a warm place for a period of 10 to 20 hours, after which they are immediately sown in the ground.

Sometimes gardeners recommend leaving the seeds to germinate in moist soil. The soil should be slightly wet so that the moisture does not stagnate and air can easily pass through the soil layers.

The soil mixture for seedlings includes turf and humus soil, which must be prepared in equal quantities. To keep the soil loose, you can add a little peat or sawdust.

The first shoots will appear in a week

To sow seeds, you should take containers whose height is at least 10 cm. The depth of planting seeds is up to 1 cm. Next, the container should be covered with cellophane or glass and placed in a warm place. The germination time depends on the temperature in the room, as well as the condition of the seeds. The optimal time for the appearance of the first shoots is one week.

Sprout care

When the first shoots appear, it is necessary to provide the seedlings with good lighting. Lamps are used for this. Daylight hours for this tomato should be from 12 to 16 hours. In the first 2-4 days after the appearance of the first sprout, provide round-the-clock lighting.

When the first shoots appear, the containers are transferred to a cool room with an air temperature of 14°C to 16°C. After 7 days, after the seedlings have become a little stronger, it is necessary to raise the temperature to 20°C, and at night lower it again to 16°C.

The tomato variety will give high yields if watered in a timely manner. Tomato does not like excessive moisture. Before the first leaf appears, it is recommended not to water the seedlings at all, but to monitor the soil so that it does not dry out. Next, you need to organize watering once every 7 days, and when 5 leaves appear, water more often: once every 3 or 4 days.

Picking and planting seedlings

It is necessary to pick tomatoes of this varietal variety into individual containers. These can be either plastic cups or small pots of peat. During the picking process, it is recommended to pinch the main root, which will allow the plant to develop a strong root system.

2 weeks before planting in open ground, hardening of seedlings begins, gradually reducing the air temperature to 14°C. In the last 4 days, the seedlings are taken out onto the street or balcony, first for 2-3 hours, and on the last day for a day.

When exposed to low temperatures, solar radiation and wind, a restructuring of all processes of the physiological development of the plant occurs. A tomato of this variety becomes resistant to new conditions and, as a result, will provide high yields.

Fertilizer

To increase productivity, tomatoes of this variety are regularly fertilized. To do this, take into account some features of the feeding process:

  • do not use mullein more than 3 times throughout the entire growing season;
  • do not add large amounts of organic matter to the soil;
  • do not add bird droppings to the holes, since in this case the green mass of the bush will develop, and there will be few fruits;
  • at the initial stage of the growing season, spray the plant with a weak solution of urea, without adding the substance under the bush.

It is not recommended to change the fertilizer; it is important to choose a complex that includes both minerals and organic matter. It is also necessary to fertilize tomato bushes in a strictly prescribed amount.

During the fruiting period, you should not fertilize tomatoes, since the plant has absorbed all the substances it needs when feeding during the period of intensive growth.

Watering

It is better to water plants in the evening

It is necessary to water the plant so that the stream of water does not fall on the stems and leaves.

It is very important not to oversaturate the tomato with moisture, as excessive watering has a negative effect on the condition of the plant.

In dry and hot weather, it is recommended to water once every 2-3 days. The watering period is evening, and spraying can also be carried out. The fact that the plant lacks moisture is evidenced by fallen ovaries and stems with inflorescences.

Features of cultivation

The basis of a healthy plant is proper planting of seedlings. Taking into account the timing of fruiting and climate conditions in the region, seeds are planted in early April or late March. From the moment of rooting to planting in open ground, 50 to 55 days pass. Sowing seedlings occurs in the following sequence:

  • seeds are soaked in a growth stimulator for 1-2 days;
  • planting material is buried in the ground to a depth of 1 cm;
  • cover the container with film and place it in a warm place;
  • after the first shoots appear, the film is removed and the seedlings are placed on the windowsill;
  • as soon as the plants have a third leaf, they are picked, seated in separate pots;
  • regularly apply fertilizers for stable growth;
  • a week before planting in open ground, the plant is hardened off by taking it outside for several hours.

Despite the tolerance of tomatoes to cold and excessive heat, it is best to choose the most open location for growing them. To achieve maximum yields, it is recommended to choose sunny areas that are not shaded by the house or outbuildings. The Siberian Trump does not make any serious demands on the composition of the soil. The only prerequisite is sufficient fertility and moisture.

Important! When planting tomatoes of this variety, it is recommended to follow the rule of crop rotation, not placing beds in places where other nightshade crops grew last year.

2 weeks before planting, the beds must be dug up, mixing the soil with humus and river sand. The beds for the Siberian Trump are marked based on the need to retreat 50 cm from each plant. With such planting, for each square. m. area planted up to 4 tomatoes.

To get the maximum tomato yield, you must follow all cultivation rules.

Caring for the plant is simple and includes a standard set of procedures. Tomatoes need periodic watering. To keep the soil sufficiently moist, water is added every 3 days, avoiding waterlogging. Tree trunk circles must be weeded periodically to avoid the development of fungal infections.

Important! Watering is done directly under the root. If moisture gets on the leaves, there is a risk of sunburn.

It is very important to properly organize the garter of tomatoes. If the weight of the fruit is too large, the branches droop under the weight of the fruit, which begin to rot when they come into contact with the ground. It is best to install a separate pole for each fruiting branch. To get maximum yield, it is best to leave 2-3 main stems, adding new shoots.

To improve the yield of a tomato, it needs bait. At the same time, it is important not to be too zealous so as not to cause a negative reaction. You should not apply mullein more than 2-3 times per season, as well as nitrogen complexes. As soon as the active fruiting period begins, feeding tomatoes is completely stopped.

Features of agricultural technology

Growing “Siberian Trump” is not difficult; it is an unpretentious tomato that does not require special attention and increased care. The main thing is to water the plants on time and know a few simple care tips.

  • Sowing seeds for seedlings should be done 50-60 days before planting in the ground. The optimal temperature, which will ensure friendly germination, is 23-25 degrees. When the sprouts become stronger, the temperature can be reduced to 20-22 degrees.
  • It should be planted in the ground in the first ten days of June, placing 3-4 plants per 1 square meter. m. Tomatoes of the “Siberian Trump” variety are not capricious and tolerate transplantation well, quickly adapt and grow. Therefore, two weeks after planting, it is worth helping the young bushes and making the first fertilizing with a complex mineral mixture.
  • During the growth process, it is recommended to form the bush into one or two stems. But after the formation of the first cluster, pinching of plants should be stopped.
  • It is also desirable for the bushes to be tied to a support. The characteristics of the fruits of this variety confirm this; even such strong bushes may not be able to withstand the weight of large tomatoes.

To speed up seed germination and improve fruit set, experts advise using stimulants for the development and growth of tomatoes.

I have been growing tomatoes for many years and have come to the following conclusion: varieties must be chosen based not only on taste preferences, but also taking into account the climate. I planted different tomatoes, with varying degrees of success, but “Siberian Trump” only made me happy. And friendly germination, and a bountiful harvest, despite the cold and rainy summer.

This was the first time this variety was planted; tomatoes were grown in open ground. There were no problems with them. There is a minimum of care, and the harvest exceeded all expectations.

I bought “trump” seeds only because of their resistance to cold, so that I could plant them early. And everything worked out, even though I planted it early, the seedlings quickly took root and began to bear fruit on time. I recommend.

Tomatoes are a sight for sore eyes! Surprisingly large ones were born! And this is in our cold Siberia. I planted several different varieties, and only “Siberian Trump” yielded more than 10 kg per bush.

Tomatoes of the “Siberian Trump” variety are unpretentious and ideal for growing in open ground. The harvest is stable. Tomatoes are not only large, but also truly tasty.

Planting on the beds

The Siberian Trump variety is resistant to bad climate, but in the tomato garden it is advisable to find the brightest and sunlit area. The culture loves fertile soil. It is good if the soil on the site moderately retains moisture.

Important! You can reduce the risk of tomato diseases by planting in an area where nightshade crops did not grow last year.

It is advisable to fertilize the soil in the garden bed with organic matter in the fall. You can do this in the spring, but no later than 2 weeks before planting the tomato seedlings. The earth is dug up with humus to the depth of a spade bayonet, approximately 20 cm. To make it loose, sand is added to the hard soil.

Siberian trump has enough space when planting 3-4 plants per 1 m2. For better care, tomatoes are planted in rows. A distance of 70 cm is maintained between the bushes. If there is space, the planting step is increased to 1 m. The optimal row spacing is 1 m. It is not advisable to plant tomatoes densely. Productivity will decrease and there will be a threat of late blight.

A hole is dug under each tomato bush. The depth of the pits is slightly greater than the height of the cup. Watered tomato seedlings are placed near each hole. During planting, the cup is turned over, trying to remove the plants along with a lump of earth. Bury the tomatoes down to the first leaves. A lump of earth with a root system is carefully lowered into the hole, covered with loose soil and watered with warm water. For growing tomato seedlings, pegs are immediately driven under each bush. Plants are tied with rope.

The video talks about the secrets of planting tomatoes:

How to grow

As previously noted, the bushes are short in height. That’s why tomatoes can be grown both in a greenhouse and in open ground. Since plants are small in size, they can be grown even at home.

There is no need to tie up the bushes, due to which they have strong stems and can withstand a lot of fruits, of which there are usually a lot.

The variety was bred specifically so that it could be grown in the harsh conditions of the Russian climate. If Sklifosovsky is planted in northern latitudes, then it must be done in a greenhouse.

Assholes are very resistant to a large number of diseases. The variety is not susceptible to infection with fungal and viral diseases. Due to the fact that the tomato manages to ripen very quickly, late blight (= unimportant) manages to spread, so this disease does not pose a threat to the Turbojet variety. But even despite this, experienced gardeners recommend carrying out preventive measures and treating tomatoes with special preparations.

Agricultural technology:

  1. You can’t start sowing until mid-March.
  2. It is recommended to plant seeds at a depth of 1.5 to 2 cm.
  3. The temperature at which tomatoes will develop vigorously ranges from +20 to +25 degrees. If it is not possible to consistently maintain the required temperature, then the best option would be to place the rear next to the battery.
  4. Plants should be planted in the ground in a permanent place after 2 months have passed, after the bushes have already sprouted and are ready for replanting. Experienced summer residents advise feeding this variety in a greenhouse, even though the plant is adapted to harsh conditions. One of the most important factors that influence tomato yield is maintaining optimal temperature.
  5. It is also worth noting that plants need constant moisture. Therefore, constant watering is necessary. It is best to do this very early in the morning or in the evening, when the sun has already set. You must never forget to weed and loosen the soil after watering.

The depth at which seedlings need to be planted is 10 cm. The gap between neighboring seedlings should be at least half a meter.

Watering the bushes should be done every day - in the morning or (a year) after the sun sets

  • solution of milk and water (1:1);
  • garlic infusion.

By spraying tomatoes with such solutions, the gardener stops the spread of the disease at the initial stage. It is also necessary to clearly organize watering, since excessive moisture contributes to the occurrence of late blight.
